A nice variety of new games and add-on content dropped yesterday. But what about the tried and true military shooter fans? No worries, there's something for you, too. Ghost Recon Future Soldier's "Khyber Strike" DLC hit the Xbox 360 yesterday, and should be live on the PlayStation 3 today. This is the third piece of DLC for the third-person gadget shooter. While not as co-op friendly as "Raven Strike," it includes a little something for everyone.

The third collection of Ghost Recon Future Soldier DLC will be available next week. "Khyber Strike" will offer players three new multiplayer maps, one new versus mode, a new cooperative Guerilla Mode map, new Achievements, plus an increase in the level cap. 

This DLC doesn't offer the same amount of co-op love as the recently released "Raven Strike." That nifty pack included three new cooperative campaign missions. My poor campaign progress was halted by that silly damn ambush on the large Russian ship. I mean, come on, guys. We just shot up all the bad guys who were down in the cargo area. Now we're going down there? I wonder what's going to happen? Oh look. We're all dead. That's what I get for playing solo, I guess. Read on for all the details on the new content.

The second DLC package for Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Future Soldier is now available to purchase.  The content is available on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 for the price of $15.  The PC version will be released "at a later date."

Ghost Recon Future Soldier came out earlier this summer to fairly solid reviews, including our own 4 out of 5 for the game's co-op mode.  As we charge into the Fall gaming season, you might want to find some cheap co-op gaming before dropping the big bucks for a Borderlands 2 CE or copy of Halo 4.  Luckily, Amazon has you covered today to hold you and your wallet over.

Ghost Recon Future Soldier offers a four player online co-op campaign as well as a two player local co-op Guerilla mode which is also available to play online.  Confusing, we know.  Many of our readers assume the local co-op is playable in the campaign, sadly it isn't.

Ghost Recon Future Soldier is about to get a bigger campaign. The high tech military shooter will recieve three new campaign missions in the recently announced "Raven Strike" DLC. Like the core game, these new missions will support four player online co-op. There will also be a new Guerilla mode map included. This survival mode supports two player local co-op as well as four player online co-op.

These new missions will take place on larger maps, have more complex objectives, and a higher level of difficulty. 

After a short delay, Ghost Recon Future Soldier is getting some DLC love. The Arctic Strike DLC is available through the Xbox Live Marketplace and the PlayStation Store. The content offers new multiplayer maps, a new versus mode, six shiny weapons, 10 additional levels of progression, and a new map for the game's cooperative Guerilla mode. The launch of Ghost Recon Future Soldier has not been the smoothest of rides, whilst console gamers had a pick up and play experience; PC players had a glitchier encounter.  In a bid to avoid any more bad press, Ubisoft have done a wise thing and delayed the 3rd July bound Arctic Strike DLC to polish the content i.e. make sure it works.

Latest in "News Which Shocks No One," yesterday's release of the PC version of Ghost Recon Future Soldier has not gone over well for Ubisoft. The version is currently suffering from a crippling amount of bugs. What kind of bugs, you ask? Well, my friend, they range from the somewhat understandable framerate issues and resolution errors to the facepalm-worthy Xbox 360 buttons being prompted in the interface to the absolutely appalling non-recognition of mouse and WASD controls. Wait, what? 

The PC version of Ghost Recon Future Soldier has gotten a slight delay.  Originally slated for June 12th, it'll now grace your favorite PC on June 28th.  The game was released a few weeks ago on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 to mostly positive reviews.  Ghost Recon Future Soldier features a four player co-op campaign, playable online and a four player co-op survival mode called Guerilla.

Ghost Recon Future Soldier does feature the promises couch co-op gameplay, but sadly it's limited to the game's Guerilla co-op mode.  This mode is a survival based mode where players fight through 50 waves of enemies.   A long time ago, in a news post far far away and more recently on various online retailers it was claimed that Future Soldier supported couch co-op gameplay through its campaign.  Sadly, that isn't the case.

We've been made aware of the presence of outdated information on UbiShop and several retailer sites stating split screen, cooperative play is available in Ghost Recon: Future Soldier's campaign.  We have ensured the information has been updated on the sites affected by this.

Ghost Recon Future Soldier is out today, you may have seen our spotlight.  To celebrate we've been given 1 Xbox 360 and 1 PlayStation 3 copy of the game to giveaway to our awesome community.  What, pray-tell, do you need to accomplish to win yourself a copy?  Are we going to make you create a your own gun using the game's Gunsmith feature?  Probably not.  

Some of the most fun I've ever had gaming was during Tuesday night matches of Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter.  We used to play 12 player co-op against the AI, clearing map after map of random waves of enemies.  It's been five years since we've had a proper Ghost Recon game, but the day has finally come and it looks as if Ubisoft has stepped up all the pieces of the tactical puzzle for Ghost Recon Future Soldier.

Ghost Recon Future Soldier launches today on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 with a PC version launching on June 12th.  The console versions feature four player online campaign co-op.  Other modes are available to play in split-screen.

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Future Soldier launches in 11 days. Are you ready for some DLC news? Yes, you heard me right, Ubisoft has DLC slated for a July release.  

The Arctic Strike pack will include "additional multiplayer maps, a new multiplayer mode, a new Guerrilla Mode co-op map and six additional weapons." No word on what that new multiplayer mode will be. As always, our fingers are crossed for more co-op options. The Arctic Strike DLC will be available on July 3rd. It's priced at 800 MSP, or $10.

With Ghost Recon Future Soldier only weeks away (22nd May date fans), Ubisoft are doing their utmost to make you prepared for the game.  Only the other day a new trailer arrived that followed a prisoner's point of view after being captured by the Ghosts.  An even newer trailer flips this idea on its head and concentrates on the life of a soldier.  In a documentary style, the unnamed combatant informs us exactly what it’s like to fight battles in the near future.  Want to know more?  Check out the trailer.
