Titanfall is a fun shooter that has more modes than you can shake a giant robot at, including a four player co-op swarm style mode. It joins an abundance of games already on the subscription based model, several of which have some sort of co-op:

Titanfall DLC Map Packs Now Available for Free

Titanfall's first anniversary has arrived and with it comes Respawns decision to release all map packs for free! If you've been holding out from paying for the packs until now, then today is your day! DLC map packs 'Expedition', 'Frontier's Edge', and 'IMC Rising' are now available on Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC for free. Each map pack contains three maps each, which include: Runoff, Swampland, War Games, Dig Site, Export, Haven, Backwater, Zone 18, and Sand Trap. All that is required is for the player to download the Season Pass on their respective platform (also for free) through Xbox LIVE or Origin.

Most of the prices have been cut by a healthy margin, but like we gushed above, Titanfall seems to be the best deal. Titanfall Co-op Mode Arrives on Xbox 360 This Monday

Like the Xbox One and PC versions, Title update 8 will allow Xbox 360 users download the co-op update on Monday, December 1st. The co-op mode "Frontier Defense" features a four-player "Horde Mode" survival gametype, featuring a handful of new enemy units to combat. Along with staying alive, players must also defend key locations from being destroyed.

Sadly the deal doesn't appear to include the console version of the game. Titanfall was released last year as an exclusive for the Xbox One and Xbox 360. While it was met with great reviews at launch, the game seemed to lack a lot of longevity that folks had hoped for. Thankfully Respawn Entertainment has kept solid and consistent updates coming with free content and tweaks based on community feedback.

New Titanfall Co-op Mode Added in Update Eight

For starters, ranked play, "map stars", a whole assortment of visual enhancements, and some new unit variations are included in this update. Apart from these, we have three new modes scheduled for the game, with the first being available now and is a co-op mode! At the moment, the update and all of its new features are available for free, but for how long is uncertain. Still, a new co-op mode added to the game should be worth checking out if you're looking for an excuse to come back to Titanfall.
