Co-Op Release Alert: Boom Blox Bash PartyMay 19th, 2009 at 11:47 AM by Marc "DjinniMan" Allie

Boom Blox Bash Party is coming your way today.  The sequel to last year's creative puzzle waggler will include a greater focus on multiplayer.  That's a nice addtion for fans of co-op!  Exclusive to the Wii, the game is value priced, retailing for a reasonable $40.  Remember that you can get the game at Amazon and support Co-Optimus at the same time.  It's even on sale, for 10% off.  Let the bashing begin!

Boom Blox Bash Party Site Live, Preorders Cheap!May 06th, 2009 at 10:56 AM by Marc "DjinniMan" Allie

Last year, Boom Blox hit the Wii, and, according to Co-Optimus' own artist-bot, Mike, it's one of the best experiences for waggly console.  Props to Steven Spielberg for the big improvement over his previous game featuring blocky characters, E.T.

In just a couple weeks, the sequel, Boom Blox Bash Party, will be released.  As you'd expect from the title, Bash Party has a larger emphasis on the multiplayer aspects, including co-op!  EA has just launched the official site for the game, and all sorts of screenshots and gameplay footage are available there.  There's even a video specifically for co-op, instructing players to "Team up and destroy!  Work together to complete levels and achieve gold!"

The game is up for preorder at Amazon, for a 10% discount off the already reasonable $40.  That's just a few bucks more than the original, which hasn't come down in price much, at all.  Perhaps I'll break my string of music games for this one...

Boom Blox Bash Party Breaks Alliteration, But We Have a GalleryMarch 29th, 2009 at 8:29 AM by Marc "DjinniMan" Allie

Boom Blox Bash Blowout.  Boom Blox Bash Brouhaha.  Either of these titles would have kept the initial consonant sounds repeating.  But no, EA and Steven Spielberg had to go and break the pattern with "party", a super imaginative word that is totally underused in other Wii titles.  /facepalm

All kidding aside, Boom Blox Bash Party does look like a good time.  As mentioned on the last podcast, the original Boom Blox was a fine game.  Like any good sequel, Bash Party takes all the cool bits from its predecessor and cranks them up a notch or two.  The overall emphasis has shifted more towards multiplayer, with double the multiplayer modes this time around.  That's fine for us, since co-op is included!

We have a gallery and a press release for you after the break.
