It's time to tackle the Amazon jungle with Raven Squad, the hybrid FPS/RTS title from Evolved games. We head deep with the 2 player co-op mode and come out covered in...something.
Raven Squad should be on store shelves today for the Xbox 360 and PC. The game features two player online co-op in an 80's inspired jungle war. The unique feature the game provides is the ability to switch seamlessly between an RTS style viewpoint and a first person viewpoint. This should make for some interesting cooperative strategy!
The game is available right now on Amazon for $47 on the 360 and $40 on the PC.

The two player co-op RTS/FPS hybrid, Raven Squad, hits the Xbox 360 and PC next week. To celebrate we've got a fresh batch of screenshots showing off both perspectives of the game.

In a world where stuff blows up....
There's a new trailer out for the two player co-op RTS/FPS hybrid Raven Squad, and it's done in the style of the Grindhouse trailers of old.
The one minute and thirty second trailer gives you a glimpse into the crew of Raven Squad who are shot down over the jungle. And what do you do when you are shot down over the jungle? You blow stuff up.
Raven Squad hits the Xbox 360 and PC at the end of this month. Yes - it's August already.
It's been some time since we last talked about Raven Squad, a RTS/FPS hybrid game that puts players in the middle of a war in the Amazon jungle. The game supports two player co-op play, which provides a unique opportunity with the distinct play types.
The latest info from Southpeak fills us in on a full cast of characters, each with their own unique personality and specialties. According to the information the game is going for the over the top action of classic 80's movies like Commando, Predator and Missing in Action. That means plenty of explosions, one liners and bad guys to drop!
The latest information puts this Xbox 360 and PC title only a few weeks away, but for now - enjoy the dozen plus new screenshots showing off both styles of gameplay.
When Raven Squad was announced, we had high hopes for the title in terms of it's cooperative gameplay. The game features the ability to switch between a first person shooter style game and an RTS style game on the fly. Better yet, in co-op each player is free to play each view independantly allowing for some interesting strategy.

Raven Squad: Operation Hidden Dagger is an upcoming FPS/RTS hybrid game for the PC and Xbox 360. Southpeak Interactive has released a bunch of new screens of the game, showing off the various ways to play. At any time players can switch from a first person view to a traditional top down RTS view for complete control.
Raven Squad is set to feature a two player co-op mode throughout the game's campaign, which could make for some interesting play tactics. The possibilities of teamwork with one player in first person view and the other taking a commanders overview look is really powerful. Imagine being able to call out enemy locations to your teammate before he even sees them. Sounds like a lot of fun to me.
The game is set to be playable at E3 next month, so there should be some decent impressions when the time comes. For now enjoy the handful of screens we've got.

This just in from the "Eh?" department... The rather generic yet still annoyingly long-titled 'Raven Squad: Operation Hidden Dagger' is coming soon to your Xbox. Almost nothing is known about the game, save that it was a FPS, then a RTS, and now is a FPSRTS hybrid. (Anyone got a spoon for that alphabet soup?) XBox360Fanboy tells us that the first reports told of no support for Live at all! Perhaps someone got smart and decided that if you are going to make a generic sounding game it better have some support for this generation's best feature: you know, the INTURWEB. Al Gore would be happy to see that Live support was added in, and co-op to boot, which also means we'll actually follow this game here at Co-Optimus!
