Seventeen words. That's all that Arnold Schwarzenegger needed to utter in the first Terminator to become famous. The first two sentences in this paragraph total seventeen words. It just goes to show you that sometimes, less is more. Unfortunately, this is not true with the latest game set in the Terminator world, Terminator Salvation. In this case, less is just less.

As we told you yesterday, Terminator: Salvation launches today. To celebrate the game's launch Warnerbros has released a final trailer for the game. The trailer showcases in game dialog mixed with music and clips of things blowing up in true movie trailer fashion. The end result is something that should get you pumped up for shooting silver robot dudes with red eyes in the face.
Terminator: Salvation features a two player split screen co-op mode and is based on the movie of the same name which releases in theaters this Friday. Unfortunately the game doesn't have any character likeness or voices from the movie. But don't let that stop you from kickin robot skull.
The latest Terminator movie hits theaters this Friday, and that means the latest movie tie-in game also releases with Terminator: Salvation.
The game hits the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 sporting a 2 player local co-op mode through the game's single player story. If you haven't seen much on this game so far, definitely give it a look - it appears to be a Gears of War style game set in the Terminator universe.
Terminator: Salvation should be on store shelves tomorrow, but you can snag it from Amazon for a $10 discount right now!

We have a brand new trailer for the upcoming split screen co-op Terminator: Salvation game on the 360 and PS3. There's two things I learned from this trailer.
1) The Terminator theme still friggin rocks.
2) Terminators come from the sky
3) Hiding behind cover doesn't make you a coward
After seeing the latest trailer for Terminator: Salvation before Star Trek, I'm totally hyped for the movie. After seeing this trailer for the Terminator Salvation game, I think my excitement is equally as high. I just wish the co-op play was online.

A few days ago we told you about the Terminator Salvation Twitter game. It's a unique mix of social networking and guerilla marketing. Not content with taking over one social network, Skynet is expanding to the likes of Facebook and the iPhone.
The iPhone/iPod Touch game will set you back $9.99 and features a fully playable 3D campaign. Sadly, there's no co-op to be had. In fact, in general the the Apple App store is short on cooperative games.
Not to worry though, a free and pseudo co-op Facebook game has launched for Terminator Salvation. The game looks to mix social networking with a strategy style board game. In a way, it's sort of social co-op.

Tis the season for summer movie games! Fortunately for us, at least some of these games feature co-op. Terminator Salvation's tie in game is one example, featuring local split-screen co-op. Shooting metal cyborgs with futuristic weapons with a pal sounds like a good time to me.
In addition to the requisite video game, Terminator Salvation has hit the Twitterverse! The latest "gotta have it" social networking tool is being used for a Twitter game. You can sign up and find more details at the game's blog, Resistance2018.com.
Members of the human resistance are communicating with each other through Twitter. The Resistance is able to "intercept" Skynet communications, but they are decoded, incomplete or unanswered. The Resistance is turning to the Resistance2018 community to help complete these intercepts and broadcast messages in support of the cause.
Of course, as a loyal Co-Optimus fan, I am certain you're following us, so why not join the Resistance too? I'll be on there as well, fully appreciating the irony of a Twitter game based on a story where machines take over the world.

Warner Bros has just released a brand new trailer for the upcoming Terminator Salvation game on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The trailer shows off the game's 2 player split screen co-op mode.
I was surprised to see the number of vehicle sequences in the trailer, and the game definitely isn't short on the action. The real question is, who is the co-op player? Is it a John Connor clone? An unamed recruit into the resistance? Whoever the players end up being, they are going to be blowing up a crap ton of robots.

Upcoming movie tie-in third-person shooter and action game Terminator: Salvation has been under wraps for a while. Finally, we get to glimpse some more gameplay footage, and near the halfway mark, we are treated to a quick moment of splitscreen co-op.
The above screenshot was taken from the new trailer, and as you can see: two players are working from different angles to take down their targets. Whether this is a campaign mission or not can't be confirmed, although it's a safe bet. We've known about Terminator: Salvation's co-op for some time now, but this is our first eyes-on, and it looks...well...just like it should.
Hopefully, the second player can actually save their progress. Click "Read More" for the new trailer.

The GDC in San Francisco gave IGN.com a nice, specific and updated preview of Terminator: Salvation, set to be released on most platforms (no Handheld AI apocalypse for us) along with the film in May. This preview confirms the local co-op we already knew about, but with a bit of disappointing news for the online gamer.
"Yep, Terminator Salvation features split-screen couch co-op. Unfortunately, online co-op can't be included, because the machines own the Internets."
