We normally don't cover track pack releases for music games on here, mostly because they come too frequently and in too small of chunks. We're going to make an exception though for The Beatles, because, well they ARE The Beatles and because it's not your ordinary track pack.
The Abbey Road track pack, named from their album of the same name, not only has the rest of the tracks missing from The Beatles Rock Band - but also includes the 16 minute B-Side medley of "You Never Give Me Your Money," "Sun King," "Mean Mr. Mustard," "Polythene Pam," "She Came in Through the Bathroom Window," "Golden Slumbers," "Carry That Weight" and "The End."

This Thursday, October 15th, we'll be hosting an Xbox Live Co-Op Night featuring The Beatles: Rock Band. So whether you need a John, Ringo, Paul or George - we've got you covered to make your band a little more complete and your harmonies a little more sweet.

The most famous band of all time gets the music game treatment. How does The Beatles Rock Band hold up compared to its predecessors? What about the three part harmonies? Is the song list too short? Find out in our "Fab" review!

After an exciting performance of "I want to Hold your Hand" out of Billy and the Co-Opticrew at PAX 2009, it was time for the band to break up and head their respective ways. Sadly when I arrived home from the show there was no Beatles to be found in my house. This simply did not sit well with my wife, and after several not so subtle hints - including her telling our 6 month old to ask me for game - it was time to trade in some games and pick up the Fab 4's videogame debut.

Two releases hit the shelves this week. The first is a little game featuring some indie band called The Beatles, coming in various packages, with premium instruments, standard instruments, and even without instruments at all. Of course, individual guitars are available too. The second release is the Game of the Year edition of popular co-op title LittleBigPlanet. This edition has lots of previous DLC content included, and also a dozen custom levels made by fans. Plenty of good co-op action out there this week!

We're a little more than a week away from The Beatles: Rock Band - and so that means the advertising onlsaught shall begin. As Activision and EA battle for your music game money this holiday season, you can be sure to see one of these almost every time you turn on the telli.
This particular commercial is pretty interesting, being shot at the famous Abbey Road that The Beatles album of the same name made so famous.
MTV and Harmonix have revealed all but one of the 45 available songs for The Beatles: Rock Band, the latest batch reveals 19 new songs. The songs are listed with their featured venues, from the Ed Sullivan stage to the Abbey Road Dreamscape.
Also unveiled is the Rock Band Beatles Store, which opens for business on 9/9/09 with All You Need is Love for $1.99. They've also announced three full albums are going to be available to download; Abbey Road, Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band, and Rubber Soul. The Abbey Road album contains the 16 minute B-Side, which is also playable!

You'll recall that The Beatles: Rock Band will be released on 9/09/09, just about a month and a half from now. As with most other music games, there are all sorts of bundles, including limited edition guitars, drums, etc. When you multiply all of those bundles times three, one for each console, there's going to be a lot of Beatles product out there.
Adding to the boatload of Beatles stuff are remastered releases of all their albums, including the obligatory boxed sets (stereo and MONO versions? wow). How is one supposed to keep track of it all? And what if you want a Beatles T-shirt, board game, or other cool swag?
Lucky for you, Amazon has all your Beatles stuff in one place. The recently launched Beatles Store is the place to go for all things Beatle. The video game is featured prominently, and there are several screenshots for you to check out as well. Remember, purchasing anything from Amazon supports Co-Optimus!

It won't be long till we are all living in a Yellow Submarine, prancing through Strawberry Fields, Twisting and Shouting that we love The Beatles: Rock Band. Today MTV Games and Harmonix have unveiled 15 more tracks that will be featured in the game, some of which are their most popular.

By all reports the four player co-op Beatles Rock Band is shaping up to be another solid co-op music game. There's not much different here in terms of gameplay from other Rock Band titles, save for the harmonizing vocals. But what we do have is something fresh in the design of the campaign mode.
Details are scarce, but we do know it will follow the Beatles from beginning to end playing all of their famous venues and videos. All the Beatles are there accurately recreated in Rock Band character form. There are 45 unlocked tracks from the get go, with more promised as bonuses and DLC - including full albums like the announced Abbey Road. If you want the complete skinny on The Beatles Rock Band, we suggest you check out the 1UP Preview.
And now the bad news. No doubt due to licensing issues the DLC for Beatles Rock Band and the normal Rock Band Titles will not be compatible. There's no way to import tunes into either game from the other, and there's no way to have your Beatles play Green Grass and High Tides. For shame.
