"The treasure is in the plaza" says Nathan. All that stands in our way is a gigantic swarm of enemies that will lay their life on the line to protect it. Or perhaps they want to steal it themselves? No matter, our trio will shoulder on and steal what is rightfully ours. If a few goons go down in the process, the world will be a better place for it.

Not to be outdone by Gears of War 2, the boys at Naughty Dog are having their own double weekend in Uncharted 2 - but instead of double the experience they are giving out CASH! Money! MOOOLAH! Ok, so it's only in game money, but it sounds better than XP, no?
Be on the lookout for Naughty Dog devs playing as well, they'll be denoted with a little paw icon next to their tag. Also, watch out for those evil red eyed skeleton things - we aren't quite sure what they are - but I bet they are made of bags of cash.
You'll get 2x the money per round and per checkpoint bringing you more bags of cash than you can carry. Bring a wheel barrow, tell a friend, lock the doors. Big money! Big prizes! I LOVE IT!

The television ads for Uncharted 2 posit that it is indistinguishable from a movie to intellectually-deprived girlfriends, and to a certain extent, you can count me in with that statistic. For the first half of the single-player campaign, the relentless pacing, huge set pieces, wisecracks and other moments of levity really make you feel like you're in control of a huge Summer blockbuster. Seriously, even the tutorial segment is intense.
Uncharted 2 should be on store shelves today, and with it comes an engrossing single player game packed with three separate online co-op modes for three players.
The three modes consist of a standard co-op mode where players team up to capture a treasure through a sub section of one of the single player game's map, Gold Rush where players have to capture treasure in a small multiplayer arena while fending off waves of enemies, and a standard survival style mode where players need to survive as long as possible without dying against waves of enemies.
We'll have a full review of Uncharted 2 next week. Until then hit up our forums to meet up with other members for co-op! And don't forget to purchase at Amazon to support Co-Optimus!

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves hasn't even hit the store shelves yet, but eager journalists already want to know - "Will there be downloadable content?"
According to Naughty Dog multiplayer designer Justin Richmond there will definitely be DLC, and in fact, they've been working on it since the game has gone gold. But what kind of content will gamers get their hands on?

While Uncharted 2: Among Thieves might have three different co-op modes, most players are going to pick it up for it's incredibly engaging story and single player. Not only is the game beautiful, it's entertaining and has incredibly high production values.
The latest PlayStation 3 commercial though gives us a good idea for a Co-Op Couples article. You see, Jason Melvin's girlfriend is so enthralled with what's on the screen in Uncharted 2, she actually thinks it's a movie. But Jason, now that you have her on the couch, why not fire up the game's co-op mode and play a little bit together? You can even eat the popcorn while you are waiting to be revived after dying!

If you read our impressions of the Uncharted 2 beta a few weeks back, and were a bit jealous to get your hands on the Gold Rush co-op mode, I have good news. Today is the day that everyone else, those that didn't preorder from Gamestop, gets to have access to the same demo.
The demo goes live at 2PM EDT and contains two co-op modes and a handful of versus modes across four maps. The full game is set to release on October 13th exclusively on the PlayStation 3.

For those of you that pre-ordered Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, you now have access to an exclusive beta of the game which features a few multiplayer modes. Among those modes is the new co-op mode called Gold Rush. The goal of this mode is to steal a treasure and bring it to a capture point, all the while avoiding waves of enemies. Each successive capture increases the difficulty and number of enemies. Like other survival and Horde type mode, we found this to be quite entertaining.

Remember what I said about the San Diego Comic-Con the other day? Well, it's proving to be a goldmine of Co-Op news, as the new "Gold Rush" co-op mode in Uncharted 2 has had its veil lifted. Essentially, it plays like a mashup of the multiplayer beta's co-op mode and capture the flag. You and your buddies have to snag a piece of treasure and bring it to a capture point on the map while taking out waves of AI enemies. You can pass the treasure to other players, and you'll have to team up to get the treasure over obstacles.

Oh good, you ditched the old guy. Let's do some 2 player co-op.
Yesterday the PlayStation Blog held a live chat with members of Naughty Dog, developers of Uncharted 2. Fans were given the opportunity to ask questions regarding the game, the beta, and the movie. Evan Wells, Co-President, and Amy Hennig, Creative Director, were there to answer.
We came away fairly impressed with the Beta's three player cooperative mode, but apparently there's more in store than just what we played.
Evan Wells: We haven't announced all of the multiplayer modes yet, but I can tell you that you have several more competitive modes than we tested in the beta and at least 2 more cooperative modes (that are actually some of my favorite)
