We finally have a release date for Serious Sam HD, or at least, a release date for the PC version. Expect to kick names and take ass on November 24th with up to 15 of your friends in co-op. This was announced in an exclusive trailer posted on Eurogamer's website.
You can read our short hands on preview with the game from PAX 09. We came away impressed, and are itching to dive into the chaos with one of the largest and most insane co-op gatherings I've ever witnessed. There's going to be a lot of exploding harpies.
You can preorder the game right now on Steam for only $18. There's still no word on whether or not the XBLA version, which contains four player co-op, would be released the following day on November 25th.

Devolver Digital's Twitter account has announced that Serious Sam HD has gone gooooooooold for the PC. The PC version of the game is going to have "at least" 16 player co-op play throughout the game.
The remake of the classic game is done in Croteam's new Serious Engine 3.0 and will also be available on the Xbox Live Arcade about the same time as the PC release. Sadly the Xbox version will only support four players. At least it still has sunshine and lollipops though...right?

The Co-Optimus Battlefield Report is a new monthly column that will feature team-based and co-op military action games. This month we debut with a fond recap of Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2, a solid game that our community has fallen back on time and time again. Send your favorite tales of co-op and team warfare to our tips line for future columns!

Put on your parka and hit the slopes with up to sixteen friends in Shaun White Snowboarding. We give you the co-op review of the latest snowboarding game for the 360 and PS3. But does it live up to expectations or simply fall flat in the snow?

The PC Version of Sacred 2: Fallen Angel lands on store shelves today, as well as online digital services Impulse and Steam, but Co-Optimus has another way for you to get in on the co-op friendly title.
Thanks to some very friendly PR folks we have two special prize packs to give away. Each pack contains a Collector's Edition of Sacred 2, two Sacred 2 T-Shirts, two Sacred 2 lanyards, and two Sacred 2 gaming mouse pads. Say that fast 3 times! That's right each prize pack has swag for both you and your co-op partner! And the best part is, you'll only need one copy of the game to play for a day!
How do you win? Simple. Just leave us a comment. We'll pick the winners this Friday at Noon Eastern. We'll have more Sacred 2 coverage for you later this week!

A new Shaun White Snowboarding trailer has been posted at Gametrailers.com: see multiplayer shredding in action! The clip showcases several jumps and tricks, including the ever-popular rail grind.
At the end of the trailer, one of the players is destroyed by three cheap snowballs to the face...see the slushy carnage at the "Read More" link...
As I was flipping through my latest issue of Game Informer magazine (no, I don't really care for printed media anymore, but yes, I am a Gamestop Edge member from time to time...) and saw a preview of a game that has -- for the most part -- slipped past the Co-Optimus radar.
Now, I realize as I type this that I'm dangerously close to starting an unwarranted hype train here, so let's be clear: I'm excited for this game. You don't have to be. In the meantime, however, just know that while cooperative modes seem to be all the rage, it's rare enough to see a game with 4-player co-op, much less 16.
Yes, that's right: 16 player co-op. Open world co-op in areas modeled after real locations. Also, the game promises content that will appeal to hardcore and casual gamers alike, such as character customization and unlockable skills. Drooling yet?
If you're crafty enough, you can guess the title by looking at the list of new games added, because I just added this one today for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. If you like surprises, however, you can hit the "Read More" link for screenshots and details about what just may be the co-op sleeper hit of this holiday season.
