The second map pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, titled "Uprising," was released a couple weeks back on the Xbox 360. This $15 pack included with it a new co-op mode, Mob of the Dead, that kept with the Black Ops zombie theme we've previously seen, but with an Italian twist this time around. Set in the 1920s on the well-known prison island of Alcatraz, players step into the role of one of four gangsters (each voiced by a famous celebrity) and try to fight their way out. Nasty traps, gnarly weapons, and plenty of barbed wire covered undead inmates lie in wait for you and your friends.

If you own the 360 version of the game, then you're likely already familiar with Billy Handsome, Al "The Weasal" Arlington, Salvatore "Sal" DeLuca, and Michael "Finn" O'Leary. If you own the game for PC or PS3 and have been eagerly awaiting that May 16 date for the DLC to drop, then here's a chance to get to know these wise guys a little better in the latest character trailer.

It's almost May, and that means horror is on the way once again. The revamped and improved version of the 3DS game Resident Evil: Revelations will be coming out later next month for all major consoles and PC. Like the 3DS original that came out some time ago, this version of Revelations will also come with a playable demo.

In the mood for some more Hell and Damnation? Good news then - the fourth DLC for Painkiller Hell & Damnation is now available. Entitled Full Metal Rocket, the DLC will net purchasers a goodly amount of content, as requested by the players. This includes HD remakes of three classic maps (called Mines, Meatless, and Blink) which can be played in a variety of modes (Survival, Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, and a new Survival mode), new skins, a new weapon, and one all-new HD map.

As release hour approaches for the brand new Star Trek video game, another trailer has appeared to shed some light on its creation. We already know the Gorn are back and are pretty angry (could you imagine a happy Gorn?), but a few new details about one of the main characters, Tamar, are teased, along with her history with Spock. Events in the game take place after the 2009 film but before Star Trek Into Darkness, so there's a bit of wiggle room when it comes to crazy things happening.

The kind folks over at the Behemoth have sent over 10 codes for their recently released co-op platformer, BattleBlock Theater. It's a game we've been watching anxiously for quite some time and saw it evolve over a few years. Now out exclusively for Xbox Live Arcade you and a friend can team up as "prisoners" forced to perform on stage in a variety of platforming and puzzles. You can also find some characters from your other favorite Behemoth game.

While the game is all about co-op play - you may find you have to "sacrifice" your co-op partner to get a gem or cross a gap. Don't worry though, they'll respawn, it's all for the good of the game. Also the game has basketball - boom shaka laka. Army of Two: The Devil's Cartel is out next week on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. I know, it snuck up on me too. If you were looking forward to this bromantic action game filled with explosions, bullets, explosions, and oversized blades (seen above) - well that time is almost here.

EA has sent over a new trailer for the game chocked full of explosions and promotional quotes from the game.  We revealed some hands on impressions ourselves a few weeks back - let's see if I can find some good quotes to pull from it. 

BattleBlock Theater is on its way. No, really, it is! The closed beta came and went without stirring up any trouble, and on April 3, 2013 The Behemoth's next game will stop being a series of cool images and awesome ideas and actually be available for people to play. About time, right?

Back in July of 2011 (ahhh, what a heady, magical time that was), we had some news of an upcoming (so it was believed) remake of the arcade version of Double Dragon II, now subtitled "Wander of the Dragons." Between that time and now, the series saw something of a reimagining in the form of Double Dragon: Neon, an effort that Paul found to be quite enjoyable whether playing the game solo or with a friend. Now, the announcement for Neon came around April of 2012 and the game saw release that September. Meanwhile, on the Double Dragon II: Wander of the Dragons front... Well, we've finally gotten some achievements, so maybe the game will see a release soon? Or at least, this year?

Who needs a TV when your controller's got a screen? The Wii U's Off-TV Play feature allows supported games to be played on the tablet-like gamepad. As long as the Wii U is receiving power and you're within range, you don't even need a television. Perfect for those ugly moments when the TV is being used for a Glee marathon. Oh, the horror...

We are still awaiting to learn about the final release date for Behemoth's next title, BattleBlock Theater, as the more we see and hear, the more we want it to be released already. The latest teaser from them showcases some of the user created levels that those lucky few beta testers made during the recent(ly finished) open beta. The level editor itself is a feature that was demoed at PAX 2012 and was confirmed to be cooperative, though we weren't able to get our hands on it at the time. I have many great skills to my name; I can consume chocolate at an alarmingly fast rate, rest hot drinks on my belly and know the entire opening speeches for both Quantum Leap and Star Trek: TNG.  Unfortunately, none of these skills prove useful when translating Japanese.  Therefore, take of the new Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge trailer what you will, but some new co-op footage is definitely present.

We've heard rumblings of this sort in the past, but now it's pretty hard to ignore. Speaking to Official Xbox Magazine UK, Crystal Dynamics has confirmed that not only is there no sequel in the works for Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, but nothing further is planned for the sub-series in the future. For a game that had one of the best co-op experiences in the last several years, that's very sad news indeed.
