While details on the characters that Plus is including are exciting, the physical edition keeps a few tricks up its sleeve, literally. A SEGA Genesis reversible cover comes with the physical edition as well as the 32-page art book, which can be seen in the video below at 4:27. If you are a long-time Sonic fan the physical edition is probably just what you need.

Roguelike Action Platformer 20XX Available Now on Switch and PS4Jason Love

The title features two player couch or online co-op throughout the main game mode, with each player controlling one of the two initial characters: Nina and Ace. Both characters have their own unique movesets and weapons, and additional characters can be unlocked by completing certain objectives in the game. The console versions of 20XX will also include two characters that were released as DLC on the PC, Hawk and Draco.

Nintendo has commemorated the announcement of the game's release date with a swanky new trailer.

The "physics-based puzzle platformer" made its debut on the PC in 2016 at which time it only supported two player couch co-op. The console versions were released in May and December of 2017 and also supported two player couch co-op only, but in the middle of those console releases, the PC version got a free update that added eight player online co-op. The console players have been asking for that same update ever since.

While Slime-san’s retro arcade games offer a nice little slice of co-op fun, you can’t jump straight into them. First you’ll have to make some progress in the primary single-player campaign. Slime-san has four campaigns, the main one containing five worlds with twenty stages each.

Nick and I tried using Parsec a little while back when it was still in its beta. The idea was very cool, but there were still some bugs to work out. In the time since, it appears the team has done just that and made it a lot more user-friendly and stable. Check out out the two video recaps below to see how it works!

SIEE is certainly no stranger to shutting down servers for games. They've got a whole site setup just for their region that lists what's already been taken offline and what's next for the chopping block. Curiously, it appears that Europe is the only region that does this.

It does not appear that this new split-screen mode is getting added to the PC version, so a little bit of a bummer there. However, given how well Diablo 3 fared on the consoles, I'm tempted to pick up Titan Quest on the Switch next month. Despite the fact that it definitely feels dated, it remains one of my favorite action-RPGs to this day because of how you can make some truly "broken" (i.e., overpowered) builds. There's a kind of lost art to allowing players to do that.

How could we be, when our eyes are fixated upon the latest map for the game's cooperative Zombies mode?  Titled "The Tortured Path", this next area takes players on a quest for Emperor Barbarossa's legendary sword, which they must then transport all the way to the dang edge of the world.  It sounds like quite the feat, but I'm guessing anyone in love with Call of Duty's longtime Zombies entries won't have too much trouble with it.

This version of the game landed on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 around this time last year, so like a lot of third-party titles, it's now finding its way onto the Nintendo Switch. Eric, Baldy, and Bobby played some of the base game on the PC back in 2016 as part of their weekly "Friday Awesomely Live Co-Op" (F.A.L.C.O.) stream, and seemed to enjoy it enough to play it a few times.

That's exactly what we're hoping will be the case for Pode, the two player local co-op puzzler out today on Nintendo Switch.  For starters, it has cute, Norwegian-inspired art style and a soundtrack by Austin Wintory (of Journey, Banner Saga, and Monaco fame).  Plus, it's coming out on a system with a relative dearth of solid co-op titles.  Does it have the missing puzzle piece of enjoyable gameplay?  Let's see if the teaser trailer will shed some light on that:

Trying to pick a new game to play can be tricky, especially in the well-worn fields of tower defense and twin-stick shooters. Even though it may not hold any new ideas of its own for either genre, X-Morph: Defense does tower defense and twin-stick shooting almost perfectly in every single way....

Based on PC Gamer's hands-on impressions of the mode from the E3 show floor, Tandem Bike is possibly going to end some friendships. One of the major draws to the Trials games is that feeling that it's your fault that you biffed that landing and have to start over; you just didn't get the right rotation, or you didn't brake soon enough. That handy "restart level" button drops you back in immediately so you can instantly try again, but you're most likely "on tilt" and you're gonna make a new mistake that frustrates you further and increases that feeling of "I will finish this level OR SO HELP ME!!!!"
