It appears the boycott isn't really working at all! Preorder sales for Left 4 Dead 2 are doing quite well, according to CVG's interview with Valve's Chet Faliszek. How well? Try four times the level of the original Left 4 Dead. After playing through the demo, I can easily see why; the game looks to be one of the year's best.
Maybe you are on the fence about the game, and can't decide whether to preorder? You might want to check out this video at G4TV. It's a twelve minute walkthrough of the new "realism" difficulty level. There's quite a lot of interesting information, including a few tidbits about the AI Director, which controls in-game events. The new and improved Director will monitor how well players are progressing, and alter the environment to compensate. For example, if a group of players is working well together, the amount of rainfall might increase to make shooting more difficult. A nice touch, for sure, and we can't wait to get our hands on Left 4 Dead 2 later this month.

It's time for another one of our famous give aways, and this one is going to be a good one. We're giving away one copy of Borderlands for the PC to two lucky winners. Why? Well we've gone ahead and updated our review with some PC impressions and needed an excuse to give out some goodies.
But how do you win? Read on.

Let the carnage begin!
Eager to test out the demo for Left 4 Dead 2, but didn't pre-order, or lucky enough to get a preorder code? Wait no longer, my undead slaying friend! The Xbox 360 demo for Left 4 Dead 2 is now available in all regions. The demo takes the four new survivors through New Orleans, and by all accounts shows off all the new bells and whistles quite nicely. Add the demo download to your queue here, and reread Nick's impressions of the PC demo to keep you occupied until you can dash home and play. Is it quitting time yet?
Expect the demo on Steam later today for everyone else as well.

id's timeless classic DOOM game has found it's way onto another platform, the iPhone/iPod Touch. I believe this makes it the game's 4,371st different platform - including the calculator, handheld, console, downloadable, web, java, and toaster based versions.
The iPhone version includes four episodes: "Knee-deep in the Dead," "Shores of Hell," "Inferno" and "Thy Flesh Consumed." There's multiple control configurations, custom soundtrack support and quick save options, but the best part is the game supports four player co-op via local wi-fi play.
The game will set you back $6.99, which isn't too shabby for a full featured version of the game. If you're looking for another excuse to pick up DOOM, this is probably it.

Hop online right now to join in on some Sol Survivor fun with the devs
A new month starts today, and it brings with it new opportunities for some co-op gaming. A few of the developers from Cadenza Interactive, the guys that put together the co-op tower defense title Sol Survivor, along with a few folks from fellow gaming sites are holding an XBox LIVE Indie Game session today at 12:00 pm PST right now and their title of choice is... yep, you guessed it, Sol Survivor. Gamertags for all of the devs and game site fellows can be found at this link. As we highlighted in our recent review of the game, the title does have a few glitches, but the co-op modes, overall, are quite enjoyable. So if you've bought the game and are looking for some relaxing, post-Halloween co-op in which to partake this afternoon, hop on now and to join in on the play sessions.

Could Valve already be planning DLC for Left 4 Dead 2? The game isn't even on store shelves yet, but it appears there's at least two content packs in the works thanks to some PC users who decided to dig deep into the recently released demo's content.
Inside the text files for the game's demo there are two disabled messages regarding the "Miracle Pack" and the "Apocalyptic Pack." Only time will tell what these mysterious "packs" hold, but it should be good news for people worried about Valve's support for the game. No need to go starting an internet petition or anything. Perhaps Valve just wanted to put out the flames before they started?
Thanks Deriaz for the tip!

Earlier this week we gave you a status update to some of the bugs in Borderlands. Today we bring you good news as the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of the game have received patches to tidy things up a bit.
Yes, Lilith's phase walk now works correctly.

We finally know the details about the first DLC pack for Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2. Most of us will be able to purchase the pack on November 5, though European PS3 users have to wait until November 12. The DLC will set you back $10, or the MS Point equivalent. So what do you get for the money?

Fairytale Fights has already been released, but that didn't stop PlayLogic from releasing a launch trailer for the four player co-op title. What's in store? Blood. Lots and lots of blood. I also thing I spy some dismemberment, some kicks to the head, some matrix style camera work, and a handful of big dead wolves.
This isn't a bedtime fairytale by any means.
