We've been waiting for more details about what all the update includes and adds before reporting on it and including the game in our database, and while there are a few fuzzy edges still, the new trailer and post over on the official No Man's Sky website helped fill in some of those previously missing pieces. Based on what's said and shown, it seems like you'll be able to team up with three other players online and go on a space adventure through an entire procedurally generated universe. There are planets to discover and explore, local flora and fauna to categorize (and name), and mysteries to uncover. While the title was very bare-bones when it first launched back in August 2016, the previously mentioned updates - "Atlas Rising" in particular - added a more defined course to follow if you prefer a little more structure.

GTFO Leaning Into the Horror With New Shadow EnemyJason Love

During E3, folks got to spend some hands-on time with 10 Chamber Collective's forthcoming co-op FPS game, and the title sounds like it's got way more of a horror vibe than I initially thought it would. That idea comes across even further with the reveal of a new enemy players will have to face, the Shadow. These buggers can't be seen directly and you'll only be able to spot vague outlines when they move through light sources (like your flashlight); meaning you will absolutely be randomly firing into dark places every time your motion detector gets even the tiniest blip on it. It's the only way to be sure.

If you remember looking at/checking out Space Hulk: Deathwing back in 2016 when it was first release on PC, here's a quick recap of the big changes/updates to this version:

It sounds like the PC version of the game will, at least initially, just be the "base game," i.e., Deviljho and Lunastra, two monsters that have been added to the console versions, won't be there at launch nor will many of the events. That content will get added in at a later date, but no timeframe has been specified just yet. What's more, based on what producer Ryozo Tsujimoto told PC Gamer, the game's visuals on the PC "will have parity with the console versions but we're considering releasing a free update after launch." So, the bad news is that PC players will (more or less) be hopping into the same Monster Hunter: World that launched on console back in January. The good news is that it sounds like they'll be pushing to get updates to the PC version much faster.

That's not all, though. The Canadian developers are getting even more ambitious this time around and revealed a new gameplay mode, currently titled "Codename: Railjack," where you and up to three buddies will all pilot a ship together as you engage in some real-time combat against A.I. enemies. What's more, you'll be able to hop into this mode directly from the Venusian landscape. However, don't get too excited just yet. While the "Fortuna" update is planned for a 2018 release (for the PC, at least), the Railjack mode won't be a part of that. It'll arrive sometime later.

The Warzone mode is, essentially, the cap to the end of what Neocore is defining as a "season" in the game, as they detailed in a post last month. The new season will kick-off sometime later and introduce, among other things, a new enemy faction (the Dark Eldar), new gear, and a new level cap. As for the Warzone itself, the mode introduces five narrative stages that have their own storyline, which plays out across 10 battles (levels). Each battle challenges players with fighting off hordes of foes within the confines of individual rooms. Battles will also have modifiers ("hazards") that will change up the way you approach each one. For instance, in one battle, enemies may leave pools of acid when they die, or spawn a demon. These will be cumulative up to the final battle after which players will be able to tackle the "Endless" mode where they can set their own hazards and try to challenge themselves for better gear and for "Favours," which can be collected to take on a special "Nemesis" boss that, naturally, will have the best gear drops. Oh, and in case you were worried, you'll be able to play through all of it with up to three other players online.

Along with all of the additions above, the original posts boasts that “[W]e’ve added the ability for players to host their own Player Shops and exchange and sell items with each other anywhere in the game.”. This is the second major update to Dungeon Defenders II after the Power of the Ancients that came out last December.

Xbox Game Pass is available for $9.99 a month and while the July additions feature some classic games such as The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, they don’t feature that co-op goodness we here at Co-optimus enjoy. You can read the original announcement here, but we have included the full list of all of the releases below, with the co-op titles in bold.

The DLC costs $4.99 (or free if you got the Ultimate Edition of the game) and not only adds three new vehicles, but also three melee weapons (The Freedom Ringer, Grillmeister, and BBQ Fork), two ranged weapons (Pyro Launcher and Starshank Launcher), and some festive decoys that spray fireworks all over.

How could we be, when our eyes are fixated upon the latest map for the game's cooperative Zombies mode?  Titled "The Tortured Path", this next area takes players on a quest for Emperor Barbarossa's legendary sword, which they must then transport all the way to the dang edge of the world.  It sounds like quite the feat, but I'm guessing anyone in love with Call of Duty's longtime Zombies entries won't have too much trouble with it.

If you're not familiar with the Yo-Kai Watch series, it exploded in popularity in Japan a few years ago generating not only (to date) two sequels with a third on the way for the Switch, an entire toy line, and an anime series. The hook to these games is similar to the Pokemon series. Your protagonist of choice uses a special watch to capture "yo-kai" and goes around their town helping people by battling the evil spirits that haunt them. The yo-kai you capture can level up and evolve into stronger versions of their previous forms, and the sequels even introduced two versions of the game with unique yo-kai in each version that could be traded to friends.

This version of the game landed on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 around this time last year, so like a lot of third-party titles, it's now finding its way onto the Nintendo Switch. Eric, Baldy, and Bobby played some of the base game on the PC back in 2016 as part of their weekly "Friday Awesomely Live Co-Op" (F.A.L.C.O.) stream, and seemed to enjoy it enough to play it a few times.

A quick aside to give a big kudos to Ubisoft for their commitment to supporting their titles over the long-haul. These days, if a title isn't a big hit in the first month, it feels like it's quickly abandoned or given minimal updates/support. Not Ubisoft. They release a game and they say, "we're seeing this through to the bitter end," and it's worked out well for them (see: Rainbow 6 Siege's eSports community).
