Trine 2, Rocketbirds and A Virus Named Tom. 6 Days left

Humble Indie Bundle 9 Gets its Co-Op On

The various game bundles doing the rounds in recent years have been great for fans of cheap gaming, but also fans of charity.  We have featured Humble Bundles before and once again they have released the co-op goodies in Humble Indie Bundle 9.  Pay as much as you like for Trine 2, but pay over the average (currently standing at $4.70) to get a whole lot more, including more co-op games.

More ways to catch a virus, but maybe not with friends

A Virus Named TOM Heading to PlayStation Vita

First, the good news: A Virus Named TOM will be making its way to PlayStation Vita and PlayStation Mobile devices (Xperia) this summer. The bad news is that co-op is looking unlikely for the Vita edition, though developer Misfits Attics is hopeful something can be worked out for the tablet and phone versions. Even without co-op, the portable releases will come with new levels and some new features, so there's no reason to be too bummed out.

See the Big Picture in A Virus Named TOM, 75% Off Right Now

Steam's Big Picture mode officially launches today on the service, with several games enhancing themselves for the experience.  One such game is the four player co-op puzzler, A Virus Named TOM, which features couch co-op play out of the box.  Since couches are in the living room, and Steam's Big Picture mode is designed for living room PCs, this seems like a perfect match.

PAX 2012: Interview with Misfits Attic, Creators of A Virus Named Tom

One of my favorite reasons for going to trade shows is getting to meet folks I email or chat with on a regular basis via the internet.  One such person is Tim Keenan of Misfits Attic, the creators of the recent co-op puzzler A Virus Named Tom.  I've been corresponding with Tim for the better part of the last two years now, so getting to meet him in person at PAX 2012 was definitely high on the list of things to do.

Misfits Attic Examines the "Marriage" Between Designers and Gamers

Indie-Ana Co-Op and the Dev Stories - You Have to Learn to Work Together

This week in Indie-Ana Co-Op we host yet another great Dev Story, this time from Misfits Attic, developer behind the recently release A Virus Named TOM on PC. While the lack of online co-op was a little disheartening, the camaraderie built via couch co-op is one of the game's stronger selling points. Tim Keenan, lead developer/designer/Bostonian for the game, discusses this and how interacting with your players is like a marriage.

Pull the Couch Up to the Computer; It’s Time to Spread the Infection

A Virus Named TOM Co-Op Review

Misfits Attic’s A Virus Named Tom was a quirky little title when we first caught word of it last October. Between the tongue-in-cheek humor and the slight twist of playing as a “bad guy,” it seemed like it would be a pretty fun title. The inclusion of co-op play with up to 4 friends, though, was the one feature we honed in on – and it is the game’s best one.

A Video Update For A Virus Named Tom

It's been a little while since we've covered A Virus named Tom, an upcoming cooperative/competitive puzzle game from indie developer Misfits Attic. Players work together (or against one another) to complete circuits and spread a virus... named Tom. Today we have two new videos for you: the first is the intro scene from the actual game, the second is a dev blog that shows off several different controller configurations for four player local co-op on a PC, plus a few other things. (Cute baby alert.)
