A few days ago, Atari announced a major update for Atari 50: The Anniversary CollectionAtari 50: The Anniversary Collection. This came as a surprise because the collection has already been out for a year, but it seems that Atari has a series of content updates planned for it. The first such free update arrived this week and adds 12 games to the collection, including 11 Atari 2600 titles and one Atary Lynx game (yay!).

Atari 50: The Anniversary Collection is a massive collection of games and bonus content from Atari and Digital Eclipse. The collection already boasts over 100 classic games, 9 of which are co-op, but it's about to get even bigger. On December 5, the free "Holiday Content" update will add 12 more games. What's more, Atari plans to release more updates in the future.

If there's one thing retro gamers love, it's a good compilation of classic games. As it so happens, Atari and Digital Eclipse have recently released exactly such a game with Atari 50: The Anniversary Collection for consoles and PC. This one collects a staggering array of titles from Atari consoles and arcades past, plus offers some new games to boot. It's a wild mix of games that, thankfully, includes more than a handful of local co-op games.

Remember arcades?  Those ancient purveyors of sensory overload may be few and far between these days, but that doesn't mean you have to say goodbye to the game cabinets lining their walls.  In fact, once November 13th rolls around, Nintendo Switch owners will have access to a whole slew of SNK's finest arcade titles in the SNK 40th Anniversary Collection.

Fans of SNK and Neo Geo will have two ways to enjoy some classic co-op titles this year. In November, SNK and Digital Eclipse (Mega Man Legacy Collections and The Disney Afternoon Collection) are teaming up to put out the SNK 40th Anniversary Collection this November on the Nintendo Switch. This will include a selection of classic 40 SNK games that were released in the arcade and/or home consoles. In addition to that, SNK just recently announced they'll also be releasing a Neo Geo Mini, which will also include 40 games.

There was a bit of surprising news that dropped on Friday; THQ Nordic released new DLC for Titan Quest. Yes, THAT Titan Quest. The 10 year-old mythological action-RPG now has a new story acts, a new mastery, a higher level for your character, and new gear. That's... pretty awesome?

Last night four middle aged men tried to relive their teenage years of playing some classic Duke Nukem 3D in co-op. The recent release of Duke Nukem 3D: 20th Anniversary Edition World Tour gave us a chance to not only check out the game with some fancy new visual effects, but all new levels designed by some of the game's original creators.
