The Cataclysm That Never Ends

Anthem Leaves “Acts” for “Updates”

BioWare has officially ditched their post-launch plans for their ever-in-a-downward-spiral game, Anthem. Instead of delivering “Acts” that contained a few large content updates, they will now focus on addressing “core issues” while providing smaller “seasonal updates.” What this means for the community is that rather than continuing to roll out varied, monumental events, the team will be working to improve the core game and “deliver challenges and chases” similar to what was released a couple of months after its initial release, at least for this year.

No new timeframe given...

Anthem's Whole Content Roadmap is Now Delayed

BioWare has been working to fix Anthem ever since its rocky launch a couple months ago, but the writing may now be on the wall for the third-person shooter. In a Reddit post on Tuesday, the Lead Producer and Head of Live Services wrote about the current state of the game with the release of the latest patch, which did add a new Stronghold and some needed QoL improvements, and also where things are headed. The short answer: nowhere fast.

Look, we try to highlight the occasional good

Anthem Stream Recap and Impressions

BioWare's Anthem is a video game that was released in February 2019. Part of me wants to stop there and just leave this as a purely factual post. The other part has some things to say about the aforementioned game. In the span of about a week and a half, it has become one of the most talked about releases so far this year, but not exactly for positive reasons. For this week's "Let's Play Co-Op," Mike and I did our best to talk about the good, the bad, and the co-op, though if I'm honest, it is weighted towards "the bad."

Lots of details on loot/progression and different world activities, too

Open Demo for Anthem Drops Next Month

CES 2019 is officially underway and amidst all the tech announcements of newer TVs, new fridges with TVs, and (I'm guessing here) washer/dryers with TVs, there's a bit of gaming news, too. BioWare's third-person RPG shooter, Anthem, is coming out at the end of February, but before that you'll be able to check it out yourself during an "Open Demo" period at the beginning of February.

Are we taking any bets this is probably some version of the E3 demo?

Limited Time to Sign Up for Anthem's Limited Closed Alpha

If you've been itching to try out BioWare's jetpack loot shooter, Anthem, then it's time to pull that slot machine lever and hope for the best! Sign ups are currently open to participate in a closed alpha, but the window on this very limited. The sign ups end on Monday, December 3, and the alpha runs on December 8 and 9, so if you manage to get in, be sure to clear your calendar next weekend.

It’s All Here

Our World, My Story Trailer Lays Down The Basics for Anthem

In the newest video for the upcoming BioWare game, Anthem, the developers have laid out the basics for how players will interact with the world and, in return, how the world will be able to influence the player; be it through the people you’ll meet, the places you’ll explore, or the monsters you’ll fight. While the world of Anthem is a creation of the developers, they intentend for what happens in that world and what story the players tell with their time in-game to remain up to them.

Not as much being shown off as one would hope

[E3 2018] Anthem Gets Release Date and Some Co-Op Gameplay

The one game that got the most focus/stage-time during this year's EA press conference was BioWare's forthcoming action-RPG title, Anthem. While they brought a handful of the development team on-stage to talk about the game and what players can expect, I'll admit, it was a little disappointing that more wasn't shown/discussed. This is particularly surprising when you consider it will be arriving February 22, 2019.

"Bioware Does Destiny" just sounded a bit wrong as a news title

[E3 2017] Bioware's Next Title is the Cooperative Anthem

In what feels like the usual fashion these days, the new Bioware IP was teased at yesterday's EA press conference with the promise of more being shown at this afternoon's Microsoft event. In the midst of all that talk about teraflops and the Xbox One X, Anthem was given its time to shine and we're liking what we are seeing so far.
