At the end of December we told you that Assault Heroes, the Wanako developed top down co-op shooter, would be hitting the PlayStation Network this year. It's this year...and the game is out. Published by Konami the game is almost identical to its Xbox Live bretheren, with one exception - there's no online co-op.
We just received word that Assault Heroes is coming to the Playstation Network in 2010. Described as a "direct port" of the Xbox Live Arcade original, Assault Heroes for the PSN will feature two player co-op, local or online. Tons of weapons, destructible environments, cool vehicles, and of course lots of explosions will tempt fans of old-school overhead shooters when it's released next year!

One of the surprise titles of Xbox Live Arcade was Assault Heroes from Wanako games. It was a witty, beautiful, and most importantly fun top down shooter with cooperative play. Over a year later Wanako is back with the sequel and it promises to have more style, more bad guys, and more levels. Most importantly the game has a renewed focus on co-op play with not only co-op specific attacks, but different ways to play cooperatively including replaying specific sections of the game or playing through the game in it's entirety.
