We did a "Co-Op Roundup" earlier this week of all the new co-op games that were announced/revealed during this year's Game Awards, but one slipped past us. Bossa Studios has invited us back into the world of surgery simulation with Surgeon Simulator 2, and this time, it won't be just you putting on a surgical mask and sharpening your surgical hatchet. Based on the trailer and language in the press release, four player co-op (we're assuming online) will be supported in the game.

Last week, Geoff Keighley held the fifth annual Game Awards where games and developers were honored. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice won the "Game of the Year" award (and "Best Action/Adventure Game"), Luigi's Mansion 3 won "Best Family Game" (the co-op is good), and Destiny 2 won "Best Community Support." Amidst all that, there were also some big announcements, including the reveal of the next generation of Xbox.

If you thought you were all done with Hope County, think again. Ubisoft announced Far Cry: New Dawn last week, which is being setup as a kind of mini-sequel to Far Cry 5. While there were a number of exciting moments during this year's Game Awards, perhaps one of the more memorable ones for us was the reveal of a new Ultimate Alliance game, aka MARVEL ULTIMATE ALLIANCE 3: The Black Order. At last week's "The Game Awards," a new gameplay trailer dropped for Hazelight Studios' forthcoming co-op adventure, A Way Out. In the midst of the game's director saying a lot of things, he also mentioned that when the title launches next year, it will feature something unique: a free co-op trial.

After months of speculation, Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition has been officially announced. This remastered unique FPS/action game from 2011 will be storming onto PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One this spring with a few new updates and additional content.

During last night's Game Awards, Microsoft and 343 Industries showed off a new trailer for the upcoming Halo Wars 2 that put a little more focus on the Brute, Atriox, you'll be going up against in the campaign. They also made a surprise announcement that Halo Wars: Definitive Edition will be releasing on PC and Xbox One, and you can get it early if you pre-order the Ultimate Edition of the sequel.

Journey is no stranger to awards. Just recently the game received two of them in the PSN Gamers' Choice Awards, the soundtrack was nominated for a Grammy, and a few weeks after its release it became the fastest-selling game in PSN history. Now, developer thatgamecompany has to make some more room on the trophy shelf, as the British Academy Games Awards recently bestowed upon it five brand new awards.

In a world dominated by the Call of Duties, Battlefields, and Halos of competitive multiplayer - it was refreshing to see this year's Spike TV VGAs Multiplayer Game of the Year didn't go to a game based on competitive multiplayer, but rather to a game that solely support co-op gameplay in Borderlands 2.  The game also took home an award for Best Shooter.
