Binary Domain Coming to PC

Are you a PC gamer? Do you love third-person shooters? Do you enjoy screaming voice commands into your mic that largely go unheeded by your teammates? Then I've got a game for you! Binary Domain will soon be available on PC. How soon? How about next month? Yes, Binary Domain, which happens to be a very good cover-based shooter, is coming to PC in April. You can pre-order that bad boy on Steam.

Binary Domain Co-Op Review

Binary Domain came out a week ago with little fanfare. It features a rather forgettable name with some less than inspiring box art. With two small strikes already against it, I prepared myself for the arduous task of slugging through another generic sci-fi shooter. I should know better than to judge a game by its cover. Overall, It's quite good. Find out how good in our Co-Op Review.

Co-Op Release Alert for the Week of 2.27.2012

It's a little slow this week. The only truly new co-op release is a third person shooter.  I'll give you a couple hints, and you see if you can tell me where the game takes place.  Hint #1:  It's set in the future.  Hint #2: Robots.  Hint #3: Said future robots, or "frobots," as I like to call them, are becoming too human.  Hint #4: It's not a Blade Runner game (you wish!).

New Trailer Shows Off Binary Domain's Multiplayer, But Where Is the Co-Op?

We have been pondering the features of Binary Domain's co-op mode since last May.  The third person shooter focuses on a robot uprising in (where else?) near-future Tokyo.  The single player campaign features a "Consequence System" where you will give voice commands to your squad mates.  They'll either listen to you or they won't, depending on how much they trust you.  Great.  Sounds like it'll be just like playing a game with a bunch of house cats.  This seems like the perfect opportunity to allow real life human players to join in the fun.

New Trailer for Binary Domain Has Consequences

We haven't heard much from Binary Domain since our time with the game at E3.  This new trailer has plenty of gameplay footage, and features the game's "Consequence" system.  Apparently, your AI partners will cop an attitude with you if you ask them to do things that will get them killed.  The game has a unique voice control system which allows you to command your squad mates as you battle to save future Tokyo from psychotic robots.  Who here thought future Tokyo wouldn't have psychotic robots?

E3 2011 - Binary Domain Hands-On and BCD Preview

I managed to make it into a behind-closed-doors session for Sega's Binary Domain, a third-person squad shooter coming out in early 2012.  The game is set in Japan, the year is 2080.  All you need to know is this: "Robots!  Blast'em!"  Got it?  I don't want to have to explain to you why we're shooting robots during the TechnoHolocaust.  You just better damn well do it.

It's Man Against Machine In Binary Domain

It always makes me proud to be a gamer when the "new game" scene gets its hands on a solid game. Not a puzzle game, not a score-based game, not a mindless shooter, but a game with story, machines, and flesh and blood. Binary Domain looks to encourage the use of flesh and blood on the Xbox 360 or PS3, as the machines have taken over - and their intentions aren't so pure after they're granted an ego and emotions. The machines in Binary Domain started off as simple workers, but became a formidable enemy as they take on more and more human traits.
