Xbox 360 Price Drop Makes Co-Op Gaming More AffordableSeptember 05th, 2008 at 9:02 AM by Nicholas "bapenguin" Puleo

It's not often a console gets a price cut, and in the case of the Xbox 360 there's only been one in it's lifetime, and it was $20. Today though there's a major price drop of $50-$80 across the board for the console making the cheapest version available for $199.

Why should you care about this? Well according to our statistics page the Xbox 360 is far and away the leader of offering cooperative games with 87, and when you factor in Xbox Live Arcade it brings that number up to 137 co-op games.

It's never been a better time to pick up an Xbox 360, so use the above links to support Co-Optimus!

Too Good To Be True: Too Human - $49.99August 27th, 2008 at 10:01 AM by Nicholas "bapenguin" Puleo

Right now Amazon is selling Too Human for $49.99 with free shipping.  Get it while the getting is good and support Co-Optimus in the process!

And don't forget to check out our recently posted Co-Op Review of the game.

Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise for $39.99August 19th, 2008 at 1:05 PM by Nicholas "bapenguin" Puleo

Good news folks!  Not only did Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise get an significant feature upgrade with 4 player online and offline co-op, but it got a price reduction as well!

Right now you can pre-order the game from Amazon.com (and other retailers) for only $39.99.  This is a far cry from other next-gen games that usually release at $59.99 MSRP.

Similarly another Rare title releasing this fall, Banjo Kazooie Nuts and Bolts, will be priced at the same consumer friendly $39.99 and is also available for pre-order.   As a bonus, if you pre-order it now you'll receive and XBox Live Arcade code to download the original game free and earlier than everyone else.   While Banjo doesn't have any confirmed co-op, we have a sneaking suspicion you may see something announce soon on that front.  Stay tuned!

Diablo III - Where Can I get Diablo 1 or 2?June 28th, 2008 at 11:50 AM by Nicholas "bapenguin" Puleo

With all the Diablo III news going on, it's only natural to want to crack out the original two games.  Unfortunately for some it's not an easy find; most local stores don't carry it.  Luckily Amazon has the whole shebang, the entire Diablo Battle Chest (Diablo, Diablo II, Diablo II - Lord Of Destruction, and 2 Hint Guides) for $29.99 with free shipping.

My order is placed - will I see you on Battle.NET for Co-Op?
