Say goodbye to cat helmets, sound tracks, art books, and behind the scenes DVDs.  They no longer are the bar for collector's editions of games.  Infinity Ward's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has set the new baseline with their Prestige Edition of the game.

Not only will the box set include the game, an art book, arcade code and some limited edition packaging - it will include real working night vision goggles to spy on your neighbors or keep neighborhood watch for terrorists. 

FourZeroTwo unboxes the entire set in the latest YouTube video from IW, and it certainly looks quality.  There's no word on price for this, but expect it to be one of the most expensive gaming box sets to date.

We aren't really sure if these Army of Two action figures from Neca Toys will have actual "fist bump action"  - but we'll keep our fingers crossed.  

The official Army of Two Twitter feed has revealed these upcoming licensed toys, and from the prototype shot above, they look pretty detailed.  There's no further information available yet, but you can bet these will be released around the same time as the upcoming sequel.

Capcom has released the details of the Resident Evil 5 Collector's Edition.  What's in store for hardcore fans of the upcoming 2 player co-op title?

The above image is a picture of a 12" Marcus Phoenix statue that is now available for purchase on sites like Amazon.com.   Collectible site Figures.com has a review of the statue including detailed photos as well as an interview with Karen Traviss, the writer of the Gears of War prequel book "Aspho Fields".  And while you can't exactly co-op with an collectible figure, this one is so awesome you'll wish you could.

Also in Gears of War 2 news is three brand new video documentaries on the making of the game.  Entitled Touch the Sound, Every Gun has a Story, and Delta Blue - each one takes a look at some behind the scenes footage of the game and its developers.   In Touch the Sound you'll hear just how Epic came up with the "meaty" sound for the game.  In Every Gun has a Story you'll learn how to "reach out and touch someone...with a flamethrower."   And finally Delta Blues examines each character and what makes them tick.
