Crackdown 2 took 2009's E3 by surprise storm, and was even playable at PAX East, 2010. How does something turn from announcement, to release in almost one year? Loads of hectic crunch time. Kind of like facing a horde of Freaks by yourself. Good thing Ruffian had a good team together, because they really hit the nail on the head with Crackdown 2.
Steampunk and Western seem like a genre that would meld nicely together. One could say they would even cooperate. But if Wild Wild West taught us anything, it's not to judge a book by its cover. We climb the ledge and jump face first into Damnation in our co-op review.
This week Damnation, a steam punk meets western action game, hits the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. What sets Damnation apart from other shooters is the game's verticallity. That is, the levels are designed to be more up and down, not just front to back.
Codemasters has just unleashed a brand new video of the two player co-op Damnation. The steampunk style game features drop-in and drop-out online co-op play through the entire story, which, appears to be a shooter on the surface. The latest video is all about the moves players and enemies perform in the game bringing things a bit closer to a platformer.
We've almost come to the end of our NY Comic-Con coverage. With so many games on the show floor, we didn't have as much time as we wanted to to go in depth with everything. But...we tried our hardest to play what we could. There's two more games I wanted to briefly talk about, both have cooperative play. Both games also couldn't be anymore different.
It's really no secret, we know you've been logging away hours on Gears of War 2, and want something fresh but similar to feast on. So - what if I told you that Codemasters, the creators of some interesting sleeper hits, such as Overlord, and Rise of the Argonauts, has announced a game that boasts to be similar to Gears of War 2, but let you wear more cowboy hats and draw pistols Wild West style? You know you're at least a bit curious.
