How much blood does it take to make a sea?

Painkiller gets new DLC: Demonic Vacation at the Blood Sea

Nordic Games must really have a thing against the forces of darkness. Painkiller: Hell and Damnation received its sixth DLC, Demonic Vacation at the Blood Sea, available for download on Steam for $6.99. I wouldn't be super into a demonic vacation in general, much less if my day job was murdering thousands of demons with holy-powered weapons and ordained explosives. That image does conjure up some ideas about surfing devils and skeletons in Haiwaiian shirts. Alas, that reality was not to be.

Embrace the gib-tastic demon massacre

Painkiller Hell and Damnation out now on Xbox 360 in North America

In one of the most secretive releases of all time, Painkiller Hell & Damnation is now available for purchase on the Xbox Live Marketplace. I'm really not sure why Nordic Games thought it wise to slip the 360 release into North America while nobody was looking, especially since the DLC has been available since July. The game dropped for European consoles in June and has been available on PC (in all regions) since October of last year. Oddly enough, the title still isn't available on Amazon for purchase.

No, the game isn't out yet.

Painkiller: Hell and Damnation DLC Listed on Xbox Live Marketplace

Painkiller: Hell and Damnation may still be over a month away from debuting on consoles, but at least we can start buying DLC now! I know how much you guys appreciate shelling out your hard-earned cash for DLC before a game comes out. In all fairness to Heaven's Hitman, the demonic fantasy shooter was supposed to drop for the 360 and PS3 back in May.

Painkiller Hell and Damnation New DLC Out Now

In the mood for some more Hell and Damnation? Good news then - the fourth DLC for Painkiller Hell & Damnation is now available. Entitled Full Metal Rocket, the DLC will net purchasers a goodly amount of content, as requested by the players. This includes HD remakes of three classic maps (called Mines, Meatless, and Blink) which can be played in a variety of modes (Survival, Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, and a new Survival mode), new skins, a new weapon, and one all-new HD map.

With all the news about DLC for the months-old PC version of Painkiller: Hell & Damnation as well as collector's editions for the console releases, Mac and Linux gamers might feel a bit left out. Pain plus damnation plus stickers equals fun!

Painkiller: Hell and Damnation Collector's Edition for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 Announced

Painkiller: Hell and Damnation has been one of those games that gives its love to PC gamers first, console players later. The game hit Windows late last year and has already had a patch and two pieces of DLC to spruce up the experience. While the console versions won't hit until April, publisher Nordic Games plans on keeping the experience as parallel as possible. Case in point: Painkiller: Hell & Damnation Collector's Edition for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Console gamers have their go now.

Painkiller Hell and Damnation Arrives on 360 and PS3 this April

Painkiller Hell & Damnation was released last year on the PC, rebooting a franchise that old school shooter fans had fond memories of.  While it wasn't the greatest shooter we played, the two player co-op gave it some legs and added to the chaos that was set before you.  Now console gamers are going to get to try their hands with weapons like the stake gun as hundreds of enemies attempt to bring you down in this horror-esque setting.

STAAAAAAAAAAAKE GUN. Wish it was a steak gun.

Melt Your Face Off with this Painkiller: Hell and Damnation Trailer

Painkiller: Hell and Damnation is an all new game set in the universe created by the 2004 classic PC title Painkiller.  The game is being developed by Polish Studio, The Farm 51 and is set for release next week on PC and in January on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.  It's an old school FPS at heart throwing wave after wave of baddies at you with no where to go for cover.  The original game was famous for the "stake gun" - a weapon that allowed you to impale enemies on large wooden spikes and stick them to various objects - we're happy to report its back.
