Fallen Frontier was first announced back in March of 2011 and since that time we haven't heard much from the game created by ex-Bungie developers. We went hands on with the title during PAX East of that year and were particularly impressed with some of the cooperative mechanics for the platformer, and equally drawn in by the "concept art" style of its graphics.
It's hard to believe that PAX East 2011 is already a week gone. The Co-Opticrew got some great hands on time with a ton of awesome games and are more excited than ever about the upcoming year of co-op titles. Here's the round-up of coverage.
It was only last week that Fallen Frontier was announced and we were immediately gripped by its unique art style and developer backing from ex-Halo team members. At PAX East today we got some extensive hands on time with the co-op platformer from Moonshot Games and walked away mightily impressed as well as a bit bummed we'd have to wait until 2012 to get our hands on the title.
Moonshot Games is a brand new developer on the scene, a studio formed by folks from Bungie studios that worked on Halo titles - including Michel Bastien the lead producer of Halo 3. Today they've announced their first project called Fallen Frontier. It's a 2D platform shooter set on a colony on Alpha Centauri with a beautiful hand drawn style.
