Stop me if you've heard this before -- Inversion, Namco Bandai's gravity defying shooter, has been delayed. Again. I'm not going to say this is a bad thing, but I'm going to go ahead and say this isn't good. The game looks like it has a lot of potential. Check out this trailer here. Pretty badass, am I right? Sure, the main character looks a little generic, but at least he's upside down. That's got to count for something, doesn't it?
February 2012 was brought to you by the number 12, the letter K and the video trailer term Epic. Mass Effect 3 and Borderlands 2 have shown us how a great trailer can make Co-Optimus readers giddy with excitement. The next game to try and achieve this is Inversion. If you are confused by the 10th Feb release date the trailer reports (a date now gone), you may also be baffled by the fun physics the game will offer.
Inversion is a game that is increasingly becoming the new British Railway System - continually delayed. It’s gone from being a 2010 release, to February 2012, to sometime in 'spring 2012'. If these new multiplayer screens are anything to go by, when the game does eventually arrive, it will likely do so upside down. Check out Read More for a taste of how insane the multiplayer in the game will be.
The official launch date of Namco Bandai’s newest installment, Inversion, was intended for February 7th of this year. However, several retail outlets, such as Gamefly and Gamestop, have recently altered the game’s release date on their websites, unveiling the delay of Inversion's official release for March.
I've had the opportunity to go hands-on with upcoming 3rd person shooter Inversion on a couple of different occasions. From what I've seen, it's shaping up to be a pretty neat 2-player co-op game with the gravity gameplay well-integrated into the game (as opposed to being gimmicky, which would have been disappointing). We've showed you guys quite a few different trailers for the game, and today we have yet another one to share. This one focuses on the combat of the game.
Tuesday morning I took the train down to the Loews Regency Hotel on Park Avenue to check out Namco Bandai’s roster of upcoming games. The appointment granted me access to go hands-on with ten or so games, but only two had co-op: Inversion and Tales of Graces F. That was completely fine by me, as I spent my entire hour or so there playing those two and talking to the reps about them.
There's been a plenty of gimmicky third person shooters. Some games let you change the terrain, others use psychic powers to varying degrees of success. Inversion has a gimmick, but it appears to have a little substance to its style. Well, at least the gimmick seems to be fully realized, which might be enough to separate it from the late winter fodder. This latest video introduces us to some of the gravity related combat features of Inversion. We've seen some of these before, but hey, they look nice. As an added bonus, the melee combat looks brutal and bloody. Gravity assisted body slams are always a good thing, right?
The Eurogamer Expo 2011 was so packed with co-op titles that Co-Optimus had to separate the preview into three news items! Part 2 sticks with the ‘mature’ theme and looks at Inversion, Saints Row: The Third and Starhawk.
Do you know what we need more of? If you said cover-based third-person shooters featuring blue locator lights and wicked bayonets, but with a twist, boy, have I got a game for you! Inversion features all of the above, plus funky gravity mechanics! We've been talking about Inversion for a while now, and the game seems promising. This new teaser doesn't offer up much new information, but it looks cool.
Inversion is a co-op shooter in which gravity, or lack there of, plays a huge part in gameplay. The Saber Interactive developed 3rd person shooter is a bit of a buddy co-op story, therefore it features co-op play throughout the campaign for two players. The latest batch of screens joins the recently released trailer for the game from Gamescom 2011.
Who here wants to play with a little bit of gravity? How about some 2-player co-op third-person shooter? You too, huh? Let me relay to you a little experience I had with a little game called Inversion here at E3 2011.
Sci-fi co-op shooter Inversion fell off our radar for a bit last fall and winter, but with a new release date safely secured, more information and screenshots have begun to arise. You see what I did there? Gravity jokes aside, Saber Interactive has offered up (damn, now I can't stop myself) a live action trailer for the game. It gives a pretty cool slant on what it would be like to be an average Joe caught in the middle of unfathomable events. It really confronts one with the question that humankind has been pondering since the dawn of time: what would you do if crap started randomly floating in the air?
It wasn't long ago we told you the two player buddy co-op and anti-gravity game, Inversion, was set for a release in February 2012. Despite its distant release date, we've just got a fresh batch of screens that make the game look incredibly impressive.
