The Fragile Alliance mode is making a return in Kane and Lynch 2.  If you never played this co-op-ish multiplayer mode in the first game - here's how it works.  Your team of four is set to rob a bank,  but breaking in is only half the act.  Once you snatch the cash you have to make a clean escape and make it to the getaway van.  

For some, Kane & Lynch was a so-so third-person shooter that was only made better as a result of the co-op, even if that rewarding co-op experience was hampered by a lack of online co-op.  For many, though, Kane & Lynch will always be remembered for the fallout that resulted from Jeff Gerstmann's Gamespot review.  The game's director, Karsten Lund, however, came away with a different feeling about the title - that it was an original IP for which a sequel was worth making and worth making right.  MTV Multiplayer spoke with Karsten about Kane and Lynch 2: Dog Days and what was on their list of improvements to make this time around.

IO Interactive have just released a brand new trailer for Kane and Lynch 2: Dog Days.  The gritty video shows off the game's style, which has been described as a "like being recorded with a handheld camera" and then "uploaded to YouTube."

IO Interactive has announced the official release date for Kane and Lynch 2: Dog Day on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.  Set for the US on August 24th, and the rest of the world on August 27th, Kane and Lynch 2 brings thrusts players into the underworld of Shanghai in two player co-op.  The game's new feature is a unique visual style that makes it look like a video documentary, this can be seen in a new trailer we have.

Last week we gave you the round-up on some previews of the two player co-op action game, Kane and Lynch 2: Dog Days.  The previews all focused on the game's unique camera and look, one which made it feel like a low budget documentary uploaded to YouTube.  Today we bring you a fresh batch of screens that reinforce that design decision.

Square-Enix is out and about promoting their upcoming sequel to Kane and Lynch, and there's plenty of coverage all over the net. 

We preview the cooperative games of 2010 in our first big feature of the new year. It's a jam packed new year already, and if the schedule holds true, there's over two dozen announced co-op titles. We're onto the second half of 2010 with some of the biggest titles of the year.
