Hard as it may be to believe for some of us, but the very first Kirby game (Kirby's Dream Land for the Gameboy) was release in North America 25 years ago yesterday. To celebrate the little guy's Silver Jubilee, a number of Kirby titles are on sale via the Nintendo eShop, including Kirby's Return to Dreamland for the Wii U (via Virtual Console) and the more recent Kirby: Planet Robobot.

Following up on the popular, though limited, NES Classic this past holiday season, Nintendo announced yesterday that they are releasing an SNES Classic this September. The good news is that they're making more of them this go around, the bad news is it'll probably only be for this calendar year.
