Only one co-op game coming this week, and it's one for RTS fans. While there's a few smaller titles coming over the next month or so, it seems like for the most part, things are quieting down. GDC is this week, PAX East is right around the corner and then it's time for E3 - I'm sure things will heat up soon enough.

Amidst all the excitement of launch dates of the next gen consoles and launch line ups, there are plenty more games under development for the one gaming platform that never dies: PCs. Publisher 1C Company and developer Digitalmindsoft have recently announced the next game in their Men of War series, Men of War: Assault Squad 2. Still taking place during the height of hostilities of World War II, Men of War: Assault Squad 2 offers a fair deal of improvements and enhancements over the original.

Day 4 has come of the Steam Summer Sale extravaganza - and the co-op goodness keeps coming.  There's six co-op titles on sale today from the big names to the little unknowns.

Holy Cow!  We missed two weeks of Co-Op Release Alerts.  We're sure that your wallets are absolutely bristling with money, since we haven't been there to tell you which co-op games are available.  Without these weekly notifications you may have missed out on games like Green Lantern: Rise of the Manhunters, Men of War: Vietnam, Operation Flashpoint: Red River, Red Faction: Armageddon, Magic: The Gathering - Duels of the Planeswalkers 2012, and The Adventures of Shuggy.  Wow.  Looks like a lot of stuff came out while some of us were absorbed with E3.  Luckily, the rest of the Co-Optimus staff was on the ball and delivered awesome co-op reviews for Lantern, Red Faction, and Magic.  We even have an Op Flashpoint cooperative review coming soon!

DigitalMindSoft have just announced an open beta for their upcoming RTS/Action game Men of War: Assault Squad.   Players will be able to try out the new co-op skirmish game mode on two maps with up to four players.  There's also Assault Zone, Combat and Frontlines available to play - all of which have all been improved according to the publisher. 

1C Company have announced a brand new game in the Men of War series called Men of War: Vietnam.  The game is a real time strategy, 3rd person shooter hybrid, the puts players in control of two campaigns set during the Vietnam War.
