I do like a good collection of games; more pleasure for the same price.  Metal Gear Solid HD Collection is a prime example of this, not only did you get updated versions of some of the earlier single player outings of the franchise, but also a brand spanking new update of the 4 player co-op Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD.  The collection has just been announced for Vita, surely the PSP native Peace Walker would fit seamlessly onto Sony's new handheld?  Apparently not, as a certain game is missing...

Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD hit store shelves this week.  As an addded bonus, the co-op stealth title is packaged with two single player titles: MGS 2: Sons of Liberty and MGS 3: Snake Eater.  The total bundle is called the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection.  These games span a decade of stealthily hiding in boxes and obnoxious exclamation points.  Check out the following trailer and witness the transition into beautiful HD glory.  

The Metal Gear Solid HD Collection is out today on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 and with it comes the four player co-op version of Metal Gear Solid: Peacewalker HD.  The $50 package features two other Metal Gear Solid games as well - Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.  The good news is, if you are only looking for the co-op enabled MGS: Peacewalker HD, Konami plans on releasing it as a standalone downloadable title.

The original Peace Walker was one of the best co-op games on the PSP, but many full console fans never got the chance to play the game.  Hurray to Konami, as they have officially announced that the upcoming HD collection of MGS games will include the 4 player co-op ready Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD.  Now details have been released explaining why owners of the standard definition version of the game should think about upgrading.

All three of your Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker buddies will love you when you break this "news": Hideo Kojima has confirmed that four-player co-op will return for Metal Gear Solid HD Collection on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

In the world of co-op it’s fairly rare to see a franchise with a recognizable hero, like Metal Gear Solid in our co-op realm. A year ago we saw this on the PSP with Metal Gear Solid: Peacewalker and it’s about to get a high definition upgrade to the PS3 and Xbox 360, co-op intact.
