Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles Interactive Trailer, Co-Op Release AlertNovember 16th, 2009 at 3:26 PM by Katrina "ShadokatRegn" Pawlowski

"Did you see that thing come out of the video?" "Yea...I did..." "Okay, just making sure."

Resident Evil: Dark Side Chronicles hits the Wii November 17th. To celebrate this co-op release, Gametrailers.com has released this amazing (and we mean amazing) trailer which we would like to share with you. This trailer covers the basic storyline, as well as a taste of the on-rails gameplay...only, you use your mouse instead of your Wii-remote.

Interactive in the way that we can't embed, you'll click-to-kill zombies, experience screen-shattering hits, and have more fun than would otherwise be expected from an online trailer. Check out the interactive trailer today, then join us for some co-op on the Wii starting tomorrow.

Co-Op Release Alert: New Super Mario Bros WiiNovember 15th, 2009 at 1:57 PM by Nicholas "bapenguin" Puleo

Out today in North America is the New Super Mario Bros Wii for the..uh...Wii.  The four player co-op title is a game true to its roots, providing side scrolling platforming set in the Mushroom Kingdom.  We played the game at PAX this year and enjoyed it quite a bit, but I have to say, after watching the video posted below it's now on the must buy list.

The video shows four players co-oping through a level, passing Luigi around like a drunk college freshman at a frat party.  Luigi doesn't do a single thing the entire level except reap the rewards of his team; collecting coins and 1UPs and finally sitting atop the flag pole.

If you haven't picked it up yet, you can snag it on Amazon for $47 with free shipping and $10 in videogame credit.

Rumor: Classic Jackal Being Remade for WiiNovember 09th, 2009 at 11:03 AM by Jim "txshurricane" McLaughlin

Classic arcade and Nintendo co-op game Jackal might see a WiiWare remake by Konami, as suggested by some screenshots on a digital artist's web resume.

Jackal -- a top-down arcade shooter -- was a personal favorite of mine. Two players control jeeps that pick up ally troops and make messes of the enemy's buildings, vehicles, and personnel.

Konami has been remaking titles for WiiWare under the "ReBirth" moniker, so this rumor is not completely far-fetched. We'll keep our ears to the ground.

New Super Mario Bros. Wii Requires Super SkillsOctober 20th, 2009 at 11:47 AM by Katrina "ShadokatRegn" Pawlowski

After complaints that the previous 2D Mario Bros. title on the Wii was embarrassingly easy, series creator Shigeru Miyamoto kicked New Super Mario Bros. Wii up a notch or 3. Instead of the cake walk we had in 2D before, expect a solid challenge with New Super Mario Bros. Wii, even in co-op - maybe the Demo Play feature will come in handy after all.
