At PAX West last weekend, Gearbox showed off a bit of what players can expect from Borderlands 3's endgame. In short: New Game Plus, a challenge mode, and an evolution of Borderlands 2 "Badass Rank," now called "Guardian Rank." Additionally, they revealed a few details of their post-launch plans, which include two events and paid DLC that will feature a "campaign add-on."
Alright, alright, enough teasing. The last thing Gearbox had to show off (once the technical glitches were resolved) was the game a lot of folks have been waiting for: Borderlands 3. We all knew it was coming, it's just nice to see it finally get revealed.
Gearbox wasn't on-stage at PAX East just talking about the new Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition during their panel this afternoon. Oh no; they had a few surprises up their sleeves. One of the nicer ones was them revealing that they've partnered up with Hopoo Games to get Risk of Rain 2 out into the world... like, right now.
Gearbox's PAX East panel wrapped a little bit ago and if you've been eagerly awaiting more Borderlands news... You're in luck! Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition is headed to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC next week.

Well, maybe you should swing by the Museum of Pop Culture tonight at 8:30 pm PDT for the Nindies@Night event. Nintendo will have a number of indie titles for you to play, including some co-op games like Wulverblade, Huntdown, and the newly announced action-RPG title from Inti Creates, Dragon Marked for Death.
The final game I got to go hands-on with at PAX East 2017 was Dauntless, the upcoming co-op action RPG from Phoenix Labs. Dauntless only debuted at PAX South in January, so this was the first time that Co-Optimus was able to get a good look at the game.
At PAX East, I had the very pleasant experience of an in-depth interview with Howard Tsao, the Team Lead for Guns of Icarus: Alliance (henceforth, Alliance). We discussed everything Alliance has to offer players as well as the trials and tribulations of developing Guns of Icarus and its ambitious expansion.
