PAYDAY 3 Gameplay Trailer Reveals Cooperative Heists and Lots of Action

Of the co-op games announced during the Xbox Games Showcase this year, the most highly anticipated title is undoubtedly PAYDAY 3 from Starbreeze and Deep Silver. First announced way back in 2016, PAYDAY 3 is a cooperative first-person shooter/heist game. Thanks to the recent Xbox showcase, we now know that the game will launch on Xbox Series S|X consoles, PlayStation 5, and PC on September 21 - just a few months away!

Microsoft announced a handful of exciting new co-op games, plus expansions for existing titles.

Every Co-op Game Announced at the Xbox Games Showcase 2023

Today's Xbox Games Showcase offered few surprises. Some Xbox fans had hoped for bombshell announcements that would help Microsoft's console to better compete with PlayStation, but no such announcements occured. That's not to say that Microsoft didn't show any cool games! They just showed games of about the same hype level as were shown at last year's event. Additionally and despite reports to the contrary, several games were shown only as cinematic footage rather than in-game footage. Still, we learned about some cool upcoming co-op games, and that's always reason to celebrate.

Developer Changes Stance On Free DLC Amid Financial Hardships

PAYDAY 2 To Continue With Paid DLC And Some Free Content

In a quick but drastic shift, Starbreeze has declared it will continue development on 2013’s PAYDAY 2 through both free and paid content, which is in direct contrast to their previous ideology of winding down support for the title and providing any future content for free as part of their “Ultimate Edition” of the game.

It’s Indiana Jones Themed (Seriously, This Game Came Out 5 Years Ago)

Payday 2 Content Still Rolling In 2018

In a move that proves developer Overkill lives up to their name, Payday 2 received MORE content as part of the recent “Spring Break” event (why they didn’t title it ‘Spring Break-In’ is beyond me). In the Henry’s Rock Heist, players will be able to break into a giant storage facility and steal some giant gold boxes. It seems right that the heist is named after Mr. Jones (his name is actually Henry, Indiana was the dog) but, unfortunately, this event appears to only be available on PC.

Rob Washington DC Blind: On The Go!

PAYDAY 2 Out Now on the Switch

If Insane Clown Posse taught us anything, it's to be wary of clowns wielding axes. PAYDAY 2 went just a little bit further to showcase that axe-clowns are nothing compared to the sheer police-murdering power of clowns armed with shotguns. Now you can finally relieve the bureaucracy of their possessions on the go as a full four-player PAYDAY 2 lands on the Switch.

We should be heisting on the go sometime this winter.

PAYDAY 2 Dev Diary Reminds Us That It's Still Coming To Switch

If there's a new console on the market, you can almost guarantee that the folks at Overkill Software are already hard at work porting a version of PAYDAY 2 to it.  The Nintendo Switch is no different, and, as announced during April's Nintendo Direct, the first person heisting experience is on its way to the console this winter.

Update #12 Brings Long Asked for Features

PayDay 2: Crimewave Edition Getting DLC, Fixes, and New Content Soon

PayDay 2 saw a release last year on consoles with an edition dubbed "Crimewave" - the game included a ton of content from the PC version all bundled up into a nice package for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 player. Consistent support for the game came in update after update, so much so, we've gone to update twelve.

Shadow Warrior 2 and Payday 2 Partner Up for Crossover Event

While a Shadow Warrior 2/PAYDAY 2 crossover was probably wasn't predicted by anyone outside the dev teams, it makes a lot of sense. Both are first-person shooters. Both support up to 4-player online co-op. Both have "2" in their names... well, okay maybe that last one is irrelevant. Regardless, the Shadow Warrior 2 x PAYDAY 2 Crossover event is now live.

Not to be confused with the Goat Simulator DLC for PAYDAY 2

PAYDAY DLC for Goat Simulator Makes Its Way to Xbox Consoles

Earlier this year, those wacky goats in Goat Simulator decided to take up heisting with the PAYDAY DLC. At the time, this was a PC exclusive DLC pack that added a camel, a flamingo, a dolphin, and four new goats to the roster of playable animals in the game, as well as some vaguely PAYDAY 2 themed things. That DLC is now availab...
