Left 4 who?  Resident 5 what?  Pa-shaw!  I bring you the latest screens of the first DLC of Borderlands, titled the Zombie Island of Dr. Ned.  Fear the giant Frankenstein like creatures, look in horror as hordes of undead midgets attempt to eat your brains.

Then shoot them in the face with a shotgun that does electrical damage and has a scope.

adhocParty Available in Playstation Store, Walkthrough VideoNovember 21st, 2009 at 10:41 AM by Jason "OrigamiPanther" Love

As we reported last week, Sony is bringing adhocParty, a service that enables formerly local only co-op and multiplayer PSP game to branch out a bit, to the U.S. soon.  In this case, "soon" meant "next week" as the adhocParty service is now available in the Playstation Store for download.  To go with the launch of this service, the good folks at the Sony Playstation Blog have provided a brief walkthrough video of how to get this service up and running so you can enjoy your previously adhoc only PSP co-op titles over the Internet... or can you?  Check out the video after the break to see if you caught the same caveat we did.

Borderlands Soundtrack Available December 8thNovember 19th, 2009 at 4:47 PM by Katrina "ShadokatRegn" Pawlowski

After Borderlands blew us away with its release, we haven't been able to get enough of it. Additional content to extend the experience is a wonderful thing, but now we're ready to experience Borderlands at all times. In the car, in your office, at school - wherever, you'll now have the soundtrack to Borderlands available just in time for the holidays.

"The soundtrack features a number of tunes from various composers including Jesper Kyd, Sascha Dikiciyan, Cris Velasco and Raison Varner, Tim Larkin. Unfortunately, the catchy song "Aint No Rest For The Wicked," which was featured in the game's trailer and TV commercials, is not included."

Kane and Lynch 2: Dog Days Officially AnnouncedNovember 18th, 2009 at 9:26 PM by Nicholas "bapenguin" Puleo

And so after a lot of teasing, we finally get the official announcement.  Kane and Lynch 2: Dog Days is under development for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC and set to release next year from developer IO Interactive.

The game follows our "heroes" Kane and Lynch through the gritty Shanghai underworld.  Dog Days is said to be inspired by documentary film makers and the user generated era in terms of style.  Perhaps that is why we've seen some interesting perspectives in the teaser videos up to this point.  In fact we've got a new one today called "Bowling for Shanghai" posted below.  We're promised a fresh perspective on intensity and realism.

No other details of the game were given but Niels Jorgenson, IO Interactive's general manager, has stated that feedback from the first game helped shape the sequel.  Lets hope they listened to us when we asked for online co-op play.

LEGO Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues Out NowNovember 18th, 2009 at 8:41 AM by Nicholas "bapenguin" Puleo

What may be lost amongst a solid fall season of games is the family friendly title LEGO Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure continues.  Out now for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, and PC - the game supports two player local cooperative play through the whole adventure with drop-in and drop-out play.

The truly unique thing about the title is a cooperative level builder mode much like Little Big Planet provides, except with LEGOs!  Just don't make anything with snakes in it, even LEGO Indy hates snakes!

PlayStation 3 Firmware Update 3.10 Today, Facebook IncludedNovember 18th, 2009 at 8:07 AM by Nicholas "bapenguin" Puleo

While Xbox 360 owners got their Facebook implementation yesterday, PlayStation 3 owners should get their update today.  The Xbox 360 version of Facebook is used as a way to browse your friends, find gamertags, look at photos, and interact with the system.  Sony took a slightly different route.

Since the PS3 has a web browser, it was kind of silly to include a Facebook app.  Instead, the PS3 is going to allow users to publish trophy info, PlayStation Store purchases, and eventually unique in game information once the developers get their hands on a new API.  Also in this update is a revamped friends list (no more ugly boxes), and an updated photo browser that looks really slick.

Lost Planet 2 Pre-Orders get Wesker...Only at GamestopNovember 18th, 2009 at 7:59 AM by Nicholas "bapenguin" Puleo

Co-Op gamers should be familiar with Mr Albert Wesker as he was the main villain in Resident Evil 5.  After conquering him in the game you could unlock him as a playable character in Mercenaries mode, and for us, he was a favorite.

So there's good news for those of you looking forward to Lost Planet 2 and its four player co-op mode - Wesker is an exclusive pre-order bonus to Gamestop.  Well it's good news if you like Gamestop, and thankfully it's only a skin.  That's ok right?  Not exactly.

Once Again... No Co-Op in God of War 3November 17th, 2009 at 7:51 AM by Nicholas "bapenguin" Puleo

Sometimes it sucks being right, but it looks like that was the case when we posted about the possibility of online co-op play being in Sony's upcoming game God of War III.  The source was an official Sony retail training program, which contained a quiz for the game.  In the quiz we were asked - "Will God of War III have Online Cooperative Modes?"

The correct answers was yes, but it seems - as we correctly predicted - someone put in the wrong information on the training site.  IGN got a quote from Sony on the rumor:

Sony to Bring adhocParty to North AmericaNovember 15th, 2009 at 12:39 PM by Jason "OrigamiPanther" Love

Many American PS3/PSP owners know that Japanese PS3/PSP owners enjoy a few more luxuries than we do stateside.  An expanded PlayStation Store, games released months (sometimes years) before the American version, and the ability to play ad hoc only co-op titles (such as Monster Hunter Freedom Unite) over the Internet are just a few of the perks they enjoy.  "What?!" you say, "They have the technology to make ad hoc gaming reach further than two feet from my couch?!"  Apparently they do, and it will be arriving here very soon.

The Sony Playstation blog announced Friday that adhocParty, an online service that allows the PSP to expand its ad hoc coverage from immediate vicinity to the entire world via the PS3/PSP system link, is headed for our shores.  In addition to an increased ability to connect remotely with friends, adhocParty also brings with it the ability to use a bluetooth headset or the PlayStation Eye for voice chat.  Good news for all those PSP owners out there that were unable to play some fine co-op titles with their friends that were further away than next door... assuming those PSP owners also own a PS3, that is.

God of War III Has Online Co-Op Says Retail Training SiteNovember 15th, 2009 at 10:17 AM by Nicholas "bapenguin" Puleo

With The God of War Collection hitting the PlayStation 3 this week with remastered graphics and trophy support, it appears rumors have resurfaced that God of War III will contain an online cooperative mode.

We followed up on the source of the rumor, a Sony Online Retail Loyalty training site.  In fact, anyone can log into the site with their PSN ID to train, though you'll need a valid paystub from an authorized retailer to actually benefit from it.
