We previously reported a few bugs with the PSN version of Trine. It was brought to our attention that our source had a few issues with the game that weren't directly related, and it was recommended we take on the challenge of playing Trine ourselves to see how it works. We've now played Trine in our very own co-op brand of reviewing, and are ready to set the record straight.

Some more details are trickling in of Vicious Cycle's upcoming side scroller called Matt Hazard: Blood Bath and Beyond. The tongue-in-cheek game will support two player local co-op on both the Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network. Players assume the role of either Matt Hazard or his sidekick Dexter Dare as they work through familiar looking video game scenarios like Bioshock, Mirror's Edge and Mario Bros.
The game contains an insanely wacky plot that involves programmers, old video games and transgender pirates. But really the gamme is all about blowing the crap out of everything that moves in a style that's similar to the Contra, but plays a bit more like the recent Shadow Complex.

We waited, and waited, and waited for Trine to finally make the leap from the PC to the Playstation Network. A bit late with a quiet release, we finally saw the 3 player co-op title sneak it's way on the Playstation Network. While many of us were happy to see the PSN version of Trine finally come about, we have some disappointing news.

Upcoming top-down Alien co-op title Alien Breed Evolution has been confirmed to be released episodically in three installments, instead of being the first of a separate trilogy as previously believed. It's said that each of these three episodes will take players 5-8 hours to complete, and will be available for download "December-ish." If you're unsure about paying for 3 separate installments of the game, don't fret - the prologue will be available for download and preview for free.

The above screenshot may look like Mirror's Edge, but it's actually an upcoming Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network game called Matt Hazard: Blood Bath and Beyond. The character name may sound familiar, Matt Hazard: Eat Lead was a 3rd person shooter released earlier this year that had a lighter take on video games. Basically, the game was a videogame that was a spoof on videogames. It was fun and frustrating at the same time.
The side scrolling "sequel" to the game looks to follow this tradition, showcasing "out of work" video game characters desperate for a job...and attention. The game has a two player co-op mode that lets your buddy play as Matt's partner Dexter Dare. If the trailer is any indication...the game is going to be pretty over the top. Look for it early next year on the Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network.

It may be a long way off, but Alive & Undead is sounding like a great co-op Halloween Treat for 2010. Alive & Undead isn't necessarily a zombie game as it sounds, which we've been saturated with this past year - it's more of an "everything horrible" kind of a game. You play as either Mr. Smith, a Vampire and Elvis impersonator, or his hired gun Welson. Welson is a witch hunter who's been asked to help Mr. Smith avenge his murdered (by his own bloodlust) family, and help cure him of his Vampire curse.

We've waited quite some time for Trine to show up on the Playstation Network, and its time has finally come. Nobilis Games has finished the games translation to the PSN, and this Thursday the beautiful 3-player-co-op title Trine will arrive in style.

Sony announced today that the Playstation Network store will be getting an additional venue outside of your Playstation: Amazon. Eric Lempel, the director of PSN Operations, posted on the Playstation Blog that codes to download games and add-on game content can be purchased for both the Playstation and the PSP via the new Playstation Network hub on Amazon. The Playstation Network and the PSP have their fair share of co-op titles, and if you're not sure which ones to pick up, check out our games' database for both platforms to see details about the kind of co-op offered, related co-op news, and reviews from the Co-Optimus Staff and members for all of the games listed. You can also help support your favorite co-op site by following this link to the store!

Co-Op zombie killing is all the rage these days. But what if we combined the great new formula with classic style top down gameplay? Enter Zombie Apocalypse from developer Nihilistic. We take the four player co-op game for a spin in our latest review.

Let's hope Rorshach's mask moves!
We've got a nifty little update for you regarding LittleBIGPlanet, recently released in a Game of the Year edition. First of all, Sony is giving away free codes that allow you to download the Norse Mythology pack for the game. Should be fun to recreate "What's Opera, Doc?" in LittleBIGPlanet form. (What, I'm the only one who had that idea?)
If you'd rather pay for your Sackcontent, well, look no further than this Thursday. A Watchmen costume pack is coming to the PSN. No price is available yet, but we're hoping these little Watchmen goodies aren't as overpriced as other recent downloadable efforts. I predict about 4 hours before someone creates a Watchmen LBP level that's better than The End Is Nigh.
