Ratchet and Clank: Full Frontal Assault Coming to Retail and PSN This November

Ratchet and Clank: Full Frontal Assault has been planned as a downloadable Playstation 3 title ever since its announcement a few months back. Some people prefer physical copies to digital though, and Sony has taken their pleas into account. The game will now be coming to retail as a Blu-Ray disc as well as the PSN store. Even better, it supports cross-play and cross-save with the Vita, meaning you can buy it on PS3 and get the Vita version at no additional cost. Well-played, Sony.

PAX 2012: Ratchet and Clank: Full Frontal Assault Eyes on Impressions

We went eyes on with Ratchet and Clank: Full Frontal Assault during PAX 2012 while members of Insomniac demoed some of the PS3 exclusive's features for us.  The game is the next in the Ratchet and Clank series but instead of doing a straight sequel, the team has decided to mix things up quite a bit by adding tower defense sections to the game as well as a full out versus multiplayer mode.

A new trailer highlights the tower defence aspects of Full Frontal

Tower Up with Ratchet and Clank

If Assassin's Creed Revelations taught us anything, it's that not all games need tower defence.  Despite one major franchise failing, this has not stopped Insomniac Games from incorporating the gameplay style into their upcoming Ratchet and Clank: Full Frontal Assault (Q-Force in Europe as FF sounds too rude!).  Check out the new trailer and decide for yourself whether defending a tower within a 3rd person game can work.

Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault Mixes Tower Defense with Zany Weapons

Insomniac have revealed their next Ratchet & Clank game, called Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault, it mixes the classic R&C formula with a hefty dose of tower defense.  You'll be building bases, defending bases, and fighting back waves of enemies with the usual dose of insanely powerful weapons at Ratchet and Clank's disposal.
