Microsoft is offering up some big discounts on a slew of co-op titles for the Xbox One and the Xbox 360. From now until May 9, you can snag Halo 5: Guardians for just $44.99, Gears of War: Ultimate Edition for $27.99, and Ryse: Son of Rome for $17.99. Ryse: Son of Rome was a highlight of the Xbox One launch a few months ago, and as the first major DLC release on February 28 approaches, all manner of deals are available to celebrate. Today, eager gladiators can purchase a Season Pass for Ryse at a 33% discount. The standard cost is $19.99, so you'll save a non-negligible $6.66 today, and only today, February 25. Presumably the 666 pennies you'll have left can be used for some nefarious purpose. The Season Pass is a bundle of all four planned DLC releases, and would normally save you 25% off the cost of getting each separately. The discount for today makes this an even better deal.
Ryse: Son of Rome may be getting some co-op DLC in the near future, but the once promised editor for this challenge mode is no more. Not for you the opportunity to place your friends in virtual near death situations, you will have to resort to doing that in real life instead.
Ryse: Son of Rome is receiving great honor from the gods in the form of some sizeable DLC. The Mars’ Chosen Pack features a new co-op Survival Mode, new maps, and a new Legionary character skin.
We liked Ryse: Son of Rome a lot more than we expected, and while the co-op mode wasn't the deepest or most versatile, what it does it does well. It should come as no surprise, that as a first party title, the game is going to get a bunch of DLC to support the two player co-op gladiator mode.
