Lost Planet 2 Isn't Lost In Co-opAugust 06th, 2009 at 2:57 PM by Katrina "ShadokatRegn" Pawlowski

Comic Con 2009 had a nice warm welcome for Lost Planet 2 creator Capcom this year. G4 TV sat down with the producer and director of Lost Planet 2 to ask them about what to expect from the co-op experience. Since we have that interview in video form, I'll just mention a few highlights. The Co-op experience for Lost Planet 2 takes a lot into consideration from the development of Resident Evil 5. Only this time, you won't have a cohesive path to follow! Each player can pick up different weapons and take a different approach at defeating enemies, making your co-op experience in Lost Planet 2 feel customizable depending on who you play with!

Pixel Junk Shooter Comic-Con FootageJuly 23rd, 2009 at 3:04 PM by Nicholas "bapenguin" Puleo

There's a new video from the San Diego Comic-Con show floor that shows Pixel Junk's next co-op creation called Pixel Junk Shooter.

The video shows the basic concepts of the game, players control a ship through caverns filled with dangerous lava and other objects in an effort to rescue people.  Using the enviornment you'll navigate around, breaking rock and using lava to melt through seemingly impassible paths.

There's no co-op on display in the video, but it gives you a good idea of how the game plays.  The animations and look are very pleasing to the eye.

Stan Lee, creator of all things good in the Marvel universe, will play a crucial role in Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 when the game launches on September 15th.  This will be the comic creator's first video game appearance after a cameo in nearly every Marvel related movie in recent years.

With the San Diego Comic-Con in full swing, it's the perfect time to unveil some juicy nugget of info about the game.  If having Stan Lee on board as well as an official release date wasn't enough - well how about two more character unveils?

Dead Space Extraction Comic-Con FootageJuly 23rd, 2009 at 8:30 AM by Nicholas "bapenguin" Puleo

Dead Space Extraction for the Wii is two player co-op title being shown on the San Diego Comic-Con show floor.  The folks at Game Videos managed to snag some footage of it in action.  The game looks gorgeous and seems to have a pretty frantic pace to it.  I think this might be one of those must own Wii titles that a lot of folks overlook.

Left 4 Dead 2 "Swamp Fever" Footage from Comic-ConJuly 23rd, 2009 at 8:23 AM by Nicholas "bapenguin" Puleo

The San Diego Comic-Con doesn't offically start until today, and all attendees will get their chance to check out the latest level from Left 4 Dead 2 called Swamp Fever.  But a lucky few, oh those lucky few, they got to check the game out last night.  More importantly they got to film them playing the game last night - and promptly uploaded it to the interwebs!

There's three videos up showing off the gloomy swamp, the new weapons, and the general insanity that ensues.  I will say one thing, the game looks a lot more brutal.

Castle Crashers, er... Crashing on to PSNJuly 22nd, 2009 at 8:59 PM by Mike "pheriannath" Katsufrakis

The San Diego Comic-Con has been a reliable source of gaming news in the past few years, and this one's no different.  PlayStation 3 owners rejoice, you're finally going to be able to play one of last year's finest co-op experiences!  Gamespot had some hands-on experience on the SDCC floor and chimes in:

As far as how the PS3 game looks and plays, the demo that we checked out was already running well and certainly looked to be on par with the Xbox 360 game. The action is smooth and responsive, and the colorful visuals look as crisp as ever. From the look of things Castle Crashers should be a good addition to the PlayStation Network library. A straight port of the Xbox 360 game will be a lot of fun, but we're hopeful that the PS3 version might also benefit from some additional content.

We can always hope for new content, but I'd much rather have more people experience this fantastic title. No release date was given, but I hope we can expect this one soon!

Get your Monster Hunter on at San Diego Comic-ConJuly 20th, 2009 at 8:56 AM by Nicholas "bapenguin" Puleo

If you're headed to the San Diego Comic Con, which runs July 23rd through the 26th, you might want to tote your PSP and Monster Hunter Freedom Unite along into the gaming goodness.  Why?  Not only will you be able to find other Monster Hunter gamers to co-op with, you'll have access to eight brand new quests totally free thanks to Capcom.

The quests will be available at the Capcom booth, and though Capcom claims that only "6 quests will fit on a memory stick" - I'm not quite sure what size they are referring to.  Better bring the big stick just in case.

Also, be sure to check out our review of the game.

Left 4 Dead 2 "Swamp Fever" Campaign to be Unveiled at San Diego Comic ConJuly 11th, 2009 at 11:25 AM by Nicholas "bapenguin" Puleo

Word from Left 4 Dead 2 developer Valve is that we'll get to see the 2nd campaign from the game at the San Diego Comic Con.  Not only will we get a glimpse at what Swamp Fever has to offer, we'll get a chance to play it at the EA Lounge when the show kicks off on July 23rd.

There's very little info above and beyond the above image that was sent along with the media blurb.  If anything, it's a stark contrast to the first set of images that came out of E3.  These showed a day lit New Orleans style town, while the above image is dark, gloomy and rainy.  Lets just hope we don't have to avoid lightning as well as zombies!

I never talk when I play online on COD. No one really says anything worth listening to, or no one talks whatsoever.
Part of me wants to crop the second picture you took, and add text. Something simple, like "Oh geez. . ." It's got the perfect f
BORDERLANDS! Hopefully finish my first playthrough! I'm on "The Final Piece" but I'll probably do side quests as well.
Did they make a remake on Gameboy Advance or something? I remember the name.
