SMITE Now Supports Cross-Play/Progression on PC, Xbox One, and Switch

Earlier this week, Hi-Rez Studios released patch 6.1 for their third-person MOBA, SMITE. While there are a number of tweaks and fixes and other updates in this patch, the biggest feature is making the game cross-play and cross-progression across all platforms where the game is available: PC, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.

SMITE Shadows Over Hercopolis Stream Recap, Code Giveaway

Earlier this week, Hi-Rez added a new co-op adventure to their F2P god battler, SMITE. We decided to dive in and check it out, despite our lack of skill or knowledge about the game. We've also got a few codes to giveaway that will net you the "Ultimate God Pack" (which means you'll be able to play all currently available gods, and all future ones as well) and add 10k gems (the premium currency) to your account.

New Limited Time Co-Op Event Arrives for SMITE

Hi-Rez Studios has added another limited time co-op event for SMITE, the mythical gods battling simulator. While the core of the game is a 5v5 MOBA-style title, you can battle against bots with friends and, occasionally, the developers feature some other ways to co-op via special events called "Adventures." These events switch out every six weeks and the latest, "Shadows Over Hercopolis," brings a little action-RPG fun to the mix.

SMITE's 3.17 Patch Adds Dedicated PvE Mode for a Limited Time

While Hi-Rez's SMITE has allowed you to team up with a group of friends to take on a group of A.I. bots in any of the main match types, it hasn't had a dedicated PvE mode until the most recent patch dropped on the PC. The new mode, "Xing Tian's Mountain," pits five players against a selection of challenges, like fighting two gods (Ra and Vamana) that become empowered when the other dies, with each one becoming more difficult the more you succeed.

Console Version of SMITE Will Run at 60 FPS Soon

The beta for the PlayStation 4 version of SMITE just opened up, meaning you can now download the title without having to pay for anything. In addition to that good news, fans of the third-person MOBA on either console have something to which to look forward: 60 FPS. One of the designers for the title, Scott Lussier, tweeted earlier this week that they're working on the change now.

Battle as the Gods Themselves with SMITE on PS4

Last year we checked out a MOBA by the name of SMITE, a game that allows up to five players take on groups of AI-controlled bots in a few different modes. We played it for a little bit and did some silly stuff. The title was a PC and Xbox One release only for some time, but the PS Blog has broken news that it will be coming to the PlayStation 4 soon enough.
