Three more Skylander characters have hit retail

Rod, Zook and Sunburn up Your Life with these New Skylander Characters

One of the phenomenons of 2011 was Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure.  It sold like hot buns, if hot buns were made of plastic and found in toy shops.  Activision are on to another winner and this is one company that knows how to milk a cash cow, hence we have already been told about the upcoming Skylander Giants range, but we are also finding out about new characters being added to the original toys.   Please welcome; Lightening Rod, Zook and Sunburn.

New Figures Released for Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure

Did you make the mistake of picking up Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure a few months ago?  You did?  My condolences.  Don't get me wrong, the game is a heckuva lot of fun.  It's even better with a friend.  The problem is that procuring the little action figures is akin to a crack addiction, or so I've heard.  The starter kit (which is only like $50 right now on Amazon) comes with the game, the techno-magic portal, and three characters.  This is apparently just enough to get you hooked on spending $10 bucks a pop for additional figurines.

Dear Santa, I would like a Green Mushroom. Love, Sally

Co-Optimus 2011 Holiday Buyer's Guide Nintendo Wii and DS Edition

It's been a rough year for fans of Nintendo's console and handhelds as the Nintendo Wii is on its way out to make way for the WiiU and the Nintendo DS saw itself replaced by the 3DS - which wasn't quite the product most were hoping for. With that in mind if you REALLY have someone that wants a Wii for the holidays, that's about the only way we can recommend getting one at this point for co-op gaming. Of course, this still a lot of Nintendo goodness to get!

The sound of parents' wallets screaming

Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure Co-Op Review

Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure is one of the most unusual games I've ever played. It is much more than just a game; it is a media juggernaut including a toyline, an adventure game on Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and Wii, a platformer for the 3DS, and even a light MMO on the PC or Mac. The various components work together seamlessly due to the innovative design of the toys themselves. It is incredibly polished, and it's clear that careful thought was given to even the smallest details.
