You know what would make PAYDAY 2 a lot more fun? If you could toss your humble uzi aside and tear through the boys in blue with a plasma cannon. Imagine the mountains of law enforcement officials your clowns could dispatch with crazy future tech at your disposal. And what if we replaced all of the cops with six-armed aliens wielding just as many guns, and instead of a mundane thing like diamonds, our masked anti-heroes are liberating vaults full of alien artifacts! Oh, and instead of a getaway van, you hop into your FTL space ship and blast off to the other side of the galaxy! If only someone would make a game like that..

PAYDAY 2’s promised web series has finally begun! Directed by Demian Lichtenstein, known for his work on “3000 Miles to Graceland”, expressed his gratitude in working on this project. In an effort to cross promote the fantastic series that 505 Games and Starbreeze Studios have created, we are now given a little bit more backstory into the history of the PAYDAY heist team and their inner workings through Lichtenstein’s own vision.

Creepy clown masks are all the rage these days.  So much so it looks like a sequel is in the works for PAYDAY: The Heist.  The original game was developed by Overkill Software who was then acquired by Starbreeze shortly afterwards.  While we don't know of any changes on the surface for the studio, having the Starbreeze influence, who most recently developed Syndicate, could make for some welcome changes to the series.  We last heard about the sequel in April, but not much has been said since then.

Once a thief, always a thief, right? Well, don't forget to get your clown mask dry cleaned, because Payday: The Heist will be given a sequel in the not so far off future!
