Tekken 6 Fighting for Panties, Bikinis, Curling Irons and ShoesOctober 15th, 2009 at 9:57 AM by Nicholas "bapenguin" Puleo

Tekken 6's viral campaign, What Will You Fight For, has taken an interesting and titillating turn.  While the first video was a bit more philosophical, the 2nd video is a bit more, shall we say - visual?

The second video to follows the style of the first, and is based on the Tekken characters: Nina Williams & Anna Williams, Christie Monteiro,  Ling Xiaoyou.  Apparently the women of Tekken fight for curling irons, red shoes, and panty shots.  Who knew?

Tekken 6 Gone Gold, Co-Op Mode Patched in LaterOctober 10th, 2009 at 8:52 PM by Nicholas "bapenguin" Puleo

Lack of co-op at launch makes me want to hit old guys!

Namco-Bandai has sent out a press release announcing that Tekken 6 has gone gold and will be on retail shelves on October 27th for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.  The game will be available in a normal version for $60 and a fight stick bundle for $150.

While we've talked about Tekken 6's online co-op mode, one that reminds us of beat em ups of yesteryear, it appears we'll be waiting a bit longer to get our hands on it.  According to the press release the co-op mode will be released as free DLC "this winter."  If you were planning on picking the game up at launch for co-op, you might want to wait.  Perhaps put it on your list for Santa?

Tekken 6 - What Will you Fight For?October 01st, 2009 at 8:09 AM by Nicholas "bapenguin" Puleo

Do deep, theological sentences stimulate your intellect?  What about people punching each other in extreme slow motion?  Do you like fighting games?  If you answered yes to any of the above questions then Tekken 6's viral campaign called "What Will You Fight For?" promises to make you a very happy individual.

The campaign promises to spread onto everyone's favorite social media tool, Twitter.  What exactly will it entail?  I'm not sure but I've been promised an upcoming video has girls in bikinis so it can't be all that bad.  Sadly, as of now, Kangaroos in Boxing gloves are missing.

Tekken 6 Co-Op Campaign Screens Pour on the StorySeptember 25th, 2009 at 8:48 AM by Nicholas "bapenguin" Puleo

We know Tekken 6 was getting a 2 player co-op beat em up mode that can be played online, but what we didn't know is that there'd actually be a story involved with cut scenes and more.  The latest screenshots from the game show off some of this as well as a few action scenarios.

Anybody wanna take a guess as to what the story might entail?  My money is on a quest to get some more gel to help Heiachi's crazy hair.

Tekken 6 Trailer Stars Penny-Arcade's Cardboard Tube SamuraiSeptember 09th, 2009 at 12:42 PM by Nicholas "bapenguin" Puleo

The latest Tekken 6 trailer shows off the game's two player co-op campaign mode.  There's something special about this trailer though, as I'm sure you can already determine from the screenshot above.   The video shows Yoshimitsu fighting in the Cardboard Tube Samurai outfit made famous by the Penny-Arcade character which is unlockable in the game.

Penny-Arcade Draws up Tekken 6 Offiical Comic, Kangaroos Punch Fighter JetsAugust 08th, 2009 at 8:54 AM by Nicholas "bapenguin" Puleo

I'm not sure, but I'm pretty certain the cover of the official Tekken 6 comic, written and drawn by the folks from Penny-Arcade, has a Kangaroo punching a fighter jet.  I'm also pretty sure I don't need to tell you anything else about it other than that to make you head over to the official site to check out the first 3 pages.

The comic is set in the official Tekken universe, but with the traditional Penny-Arcade humor we all know and love.  Tekken 6 will feature an online two player co-op campaign that plays in a similar fashion to old school beat em ups.  For the first time players will be able to not only punch and kick, but pick up weapons like guns, staffs, flamethrowers and even giant robots to use to dispatch enemies at will.

I'll just take the giant Kangaroo that punches fighter jets.

Tekken 6 Console Versions Deliver Co-opJune 03rd, 2009 at 11:46 AM by Katrina "ShadokatRegn" Pawlowski

"You take the ugly one!" "Which one's the "ugly one?"

Tekken 6, the elusive arcade game, is finally coming to the Xbox 360, and Playstation 3 consoles with a few nice additions. Since we've got the story, that's right, co-op will be included in the story campaign mode. The level of depth added with co-op and other new features to this classic fighter is sure to deliver. With destructable environments, additional characters to the familiar cast, weapons and upgrades, as well as some of the most amazing visuals you'll see in a fighting game.

I never talk when I play online on COD. No one really says anything worth listening to, or no one talks whatsoever.
