Mmm, donuts. This past Friday was National Donut Day in America. Yeah, we missed it too, so don't feel too bad. Since every day is donut day in real life, The Behemoth has decided that BattleBlock Theater is going to let you have a belated snack. And it's calorie-free, too! From now until June 13th, anyone who owns BattleBlock can sign in and watch as a special prisoner named Donut pops out of the vault. Easy!
Achievement hunters out there might have been running into some trouble collecting a single one for BattleBlock Theater. The developers over at The Behemoth have listened to their dedicated fanbase and finally fixed the annoying glitch. Players may now unlock it today!
The fifth playable update for Happy Wars was recently announced by Toylogic Inc. This time around, in collaboration with another game developer, The Behemoth, Happy Wars will be gaining some Castle Crashers items to adorn players warriors with, along with an all new game mode to do battle!
After just one day into the release of BattleBlock Theater, we are already enjoying the game’s quirky co-op shenanigans. For fans of The Behemoth’s line of fantastic games, such as Castle Crashers and Alien Hominid HD, they will be glad to hear that players can unlock a few of these game’s star characters within BattleBlock Theater; crossovers galore!
BattleBlock Theater is on its way. No, really, it is! The closed beta came and went without stirring up any trouble, and on April 3, 2013 The Behemoth's next game will stop being a series of cool images and awesome ideas and actually be available for people to play. About time, right?
It seems like porting downloadable console games to Steam is the cool thing to do these days. Iron Brigade just came out on PC this week, and now The Behemoth has announced a Steam port of their popular co-op brawl-PG Castle Crashers. With the relative scarcity of local co-op in PC games, we're pleased to report this one will feature both online and offline 4-player co-op. Plus it boasts such modest system requirements, even Co-Optimus' own Andrew Gaskill should be able to run it! Check out those requirements and the feature list after the break.
BattleBlock Theater has been showcased in many different forms over the last couple of years, like at Comic-Con, PAX East, and E3, making its overall development stages somewhat difficult to keep up with without following The Behemoth’s official Developer's Blog or Twitter account. What they’ve been working on including in their title is quite impressive and we want as many people talking about the game as possible. Thankfully, Behemoth has given us a quick rundown of all the features BattleBlock Theater will be offering come release time, and we can’t be more excited for it.
The Behemoth, the guys that brought you the legendary co-op side-scroller, Castle Crashers, have in the works their newest title, BattleBlock Theater. This game is as classic a modern, arcade, co-op, puzzle platformer will ever get, so of course people are excited to see what this game holds for us. But what gave Castle Crashers its mega fanbase wasn’t only through its gameplay alone, but also through its quirky visual style as well.
Castle Crashers is probably the best side-scrolling beat-em-up in recent memory, if not all time. The XBLA version just got a little better as The Behemoth has finally published a second title update, fixing many of the game’s longstanding issues. The update also introduces a new piece of DLC, the Pink Knight pack. And it’s free! (The Pink Knight has been available as paid DLC in the PSN version since February.)
