We are big fans of Twitter here at Co-Optimus. The site itself has an account, and so do most of the staff, including myself. Many game companies have latched onto using Twitter as well, and often the latest news hits Twitter first.
One example of this is Ubisoft, who just announced some of the fixes for the upcoming title update (AKA patch) for aerial arcader HAWX. Here they are:
Xbox 360:
FIXED - Game freezes on “press START to continue” screen under certain circumstances
FIXED - Certain planes still have locked weapon packs when reaching level 40
FIXED - Leaderboards updating functionality problems
FIXED – Online problems (no search results, disconnects)
PS3:
FIXED – Certain planes still have locked weapon packs when reaching level 40
FIXED – Leaderboards updating functionality problems
FIXED – Online problems (no search results, disconnects)
How appropriate that a networking tool related to birds would give you the latest info about a high flying video game! (Yeah, that's stretching metaphors a bit too far, isn't it?)

Do you feel the need? The need for speed? Then you are in for a treat, pilot. The demo for Tom Clancy's HAWX is up and running flying on Xbox Live. If you're one of those brash, impatient types, perhaps a bit of a maverick, you can go ahead and queue up the demo right here. Two missions, and three different aircraft will be available for you to choose from. The best part, though? The demo includes co-op support for up to four hotheaded pilots! How about you, Co-Optimus reader? Will you be downloading the demo, and flying right into the danger zone?

E3 is right around the corner, July 13th through 17th to be exact, and with that comes our first coverage of the biggest show in the games industry. We'll be onsite to cover all the co-op games that are on hand, and hopefully bring you guys some great exclusive content like developer interviews and in game footage!
Today we bring to you a list of co-op games that we will have a chance to look at E3 next week while the rest of the crew hold down the fort here. All of these games we either have an appointment with or they will be shown off at a Press Conference we’ve been invited to. If any games have been missed, please let us know. Not all publishers are covered, only ones we have appointments with.
Read on for the full list of almost 20 co-op titles at E3 this year!
Usually you and a buddy hit the Vegas strip to gamble, drink and other more less than savory acts. This week you and a buddy can hit the Vegas strip together to kill terrorists!
Rainbow Six Vegas 2 hits both the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 this week featuring a full co-op campaign! While the campaign mode only features a 2 Player cooperative experience, you are still able to do the terrorist hunt missions with up to 4 players online.
The folks over at GameVideos.com have a brand spankin' new video of Rainbow Six Vegas 2's Co-Op mode.

The game is set to come out in a few weeks for the Xbox 360 and the Playstation 3. While the previous game had a cooperative mode, the new RB6 title will allow you to play through the entire campaign together in one seamless experience.
Check out the full video after the jump.
Major Nelson brings word that there's a new map pack for Ghost Recon Advance Warfighter 2 on the Xbox 360 entitled - GRAW 2 Co-Op Collection 2.
GRAW 2 Co-op Collection 2 brings back some of the greatest maps in Ghost Recon history and let’s you cooperate and compete in exciting new locales. An all new co-op campaign with 5 missions takes you back to some of the greatest locations from the Ghost Recon franchise. Inspired from the original Ghost Recon and remade to the stunning benchmark from GRAW 2. 9 new adversarial maps – 7 inspired from the greatest in the franchise and 2 brand new maps. 8 new Achievements with a total of 125 points. Exciting new challenges that encourage different tactics. The ghosts are back again.
The pack will set you back 400 MS Points. I gotta say, the folks at Ubisoft have done an amazing job supporting GRAW 2 after launch with plenty of free and premium content, with extra attention to co-op!
The folks over at Team Xbox have the latest with hands on impressions of Rainbow Six Vegas 2's co-op mode.
In co-op play, the “host” plays as Bishop and handles command of the squad, while the “guest” plays as Knight and rides shotgun (perhaps literally), having limited interaction with the AI squad mates. Of course, full squad control is available, so all the things you can get your AI mates to do in the single-player side—stack up on a door, the various “XX-and-clear” options, toss smoke or frag grenades, etc.—can also be commanded in the co-op component.
As we've said before, it's disapointing because the game has gone from a 4 player to a two player co-op experience. The good news though is everything seems tightly focused now, instead of an afterthought. Some other pluses is that both players get an even share of experience and rewards, as well both players share any unlocks earned in co-op mode. Rainbow Six Vegas 2 hits the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 later this month.
Team Xbox has a handful of screenshots of the cooperative mode for the upcoming Rainbow Six Vegas sequel aptly titled: Rainbow Six Vegas 2.

The game is set to come out for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 later this month and we'll feature a two player drop in/drop out co-op mode through the entire game's story.
I know I'm not the only one excited about Vegas 2, heck it's the second highest in pre-order sales currently. I played a ton of the first Vegas.
I played even more of the co-op mode (mostly split-screen). However, there was always something missing. What was it? You can probably say it with me. Story.
Where was the story in co-op mode? It was stripped down as if to say, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas... single player mode. Well, fear not, Vegas 2 is quoted as bringing the full, uncut story from single player directly to the co-op, as it should be. For all you co-operators, that means you won't have to play through the games single player campaign just to understand why you're chasing some chick terrorist.
There's an Ubisoft Developer's Diary video up on the official Rainbow Six Vegas site explaining some of the co-op details. They also mention a sweet "jump in, jump out" feature. That way, you can, let's say, jump out, if a scenario looks a little too hairy, and after your friend has taken care of all the terrorist, you can jump back in to share the credit. All in all this game looks like it might just set the next standard for co-op.
It appears we've hit the motherload of cooperative content for Ghost Recon Advance Warfighter 2 on the Xbox 360. Game Almighty is reporting that we should expect new content on Xbox Live. The content is called Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 Co-op Collection. So what does it have?
The GRAW 2 Co-op Collection consists of five Co-op Campaign missions that continue the story from GRAW 2. In total there are nine maps, seven of which are inspired by classic maps from Ghost Recon’s illustrious history and two that are totally brand new. All nine maps (including adversarial versions of the Co-op Campaign maps) have exquisite visuals and support all of GRAW 2’s thousands of customizable game modes.
The co-op campaign is even back with an all new story. It also include over 10 new maps, a lot from classic Ghost Recon games found on the PC. There's also a free download of new weapons available.
