God of War: Ascension to Contain Co-Op Mode

Longtime fans of God of War and lovers of co-op rejoice! God of War: Ascension will contain a special cooperative mode that can be played with two players. The mode is called the "Trial of the Gods," and it is the first cooperative mode in a God of War title to date. The trial will find you teaming up with another champion in order to survive five waves of enemies in a timed event.

A competitive take on co-op?

Fist of the North Star: Ken's Rage 2 Loses Local Co-Op, Gains Team Battle Mode

The first Fist of the North Star: Ken's Rage was an alright-ish brawler that was good enough for many fans of the franchise. It featured super powered martial artists from the popular manga series, following their bloody adventures as they literally punched and kicked their enemies (and each other) into bloody chunks. Out of all the licensed games I have ever played, it's definitely one of them. The game supported a two player split screen mode that left our reviewer, the esteemed Marc Allie, wanting more. The sequel, Fist of the North Star: Ken's Rage 2, has upped the co-op ante with online support, but is has lost local play in the process.

Journey's Soundtrack Nominated for a Grammy

Journey has a lot of things going for it. The simple fable comes to life through a beautiful, yet sedated art style. The gameplay  is incredibly accessible while still offering players a satisfying experience. And that soundtrack, that haunting soundtrack, evokes an emotional response that brings an almost tangible weight to the story. The good folks at The Recording Academy must have enjoyed the music as well. They nominated the soundtrack for a Grammy. You might have heard about the nomination during Spike's VGAs. Like, 500 times.

BattleBlock Theater Presents: Even More Prisoner Profiles

Last week we brought you copious amounts of videos from BattleBlock Theater, The Behemoth's follow up to the fantastic Castle Crashers.  This week we have four more prisoner profiles.  These dastardly villains have been convicted of heinous crimes including, but not limited to: "Necromancy," "Attempted planet wide takeover," "Too much sadness," "Plastybolsaphobia," and "Existence."  Terrifying, I know.
