A quick aside to give a big kudos to Ubisoft for their commitment to supporting their titles over the long-haul. These days, if a title isn't a big hit in the first month, it feels like it's quickly abandoned or given minimal updates/support. Not Ubisoft. They release a game and they say, "we're seeing this through to the bitter end," and it's worked out well for them (see: Rainbow 6 Siege's eSports community).

[E3 2018] - Strange Brigade Gameplay With Developer WalkthroughJason Love

While the shooting of undead hordes and other beasties isn't anything too new, there are a few interesting tidbits shown off in the video below. For starters, the gold and loot you collect during a level can be spent later to unlock new weapons to use. Additionally, different weapons will have different slots that can be used to power-up your arsenal so your chosen weapon does more damage or shoots ice bullets. There are also relics you can acquire behind special, hidden puzzle doors you'll have to work together to solve. These relics grant you and your buddies access to new special powers via the mystical amulet. Gotta say, looking forward to this game more and more!

Details on this are pretty scarce for the time being; somewhat understandable as it sounds like Bethesda is focusing more on ensuring that they have a stable game that runs on launch day. The discussion of private servers (and modding) begins around the 9:00 minute mark in the video below, but be forewarned that it's not a lengthy discussion. Todd does not mention if those private servers will allow you to invite just your friends into the game (though, we certainly hope you could) so you can ensure you have a strictly cooperative experience and avoid any PvP. It's worth noting that Todd also states in the same interview (starting around the 6:55 minute mark) that they're still balancing that aspect as they "don't want it to be grief-y in any way."

While it's disappointing that the campaign is restricted to single-player only, there's still a lot of opportunities to enjoy some cooperative gameplay and fight the forces of Chaos with your friends. In fact, outside of those campaign missions that also double as a tutorial for all the different features and systems in Inquisitor - Martyr, all other missions can be completed with up to three other players online. This includes the custom missions you can create using "Uther's Tarot" (though it's worth noting all players need to have enough FATE [in-game currency] to to join), and the special assignment missions that are multi-step with choices to make along the way (only the host player can make choices, but they can narrate and let others vote on what to do). Players also have three different classes - Crusader, Assassin, and Psyker - from which to choose, and different specializations (ranged or melee) within those classes.

Last December, during the 2017 Game Awards, we got a two-minute trailer that showed off some of the horrors that await the team of explorers. In his hands-on impressions (and in the footage below), Christopher details how stealth is an important part to GTFO as it helps to keep the horrors at bay:

Online play isn't the only new feature, though. There are new maps, new ways the stages will change and impede your cooking attempts, new recipes, more chefs from which to choose, and the ability to now throw things (which very much sounds like a mixed bag of fun). All-in-all, it's more Overcooked, which I'm 100% good with.

Similar to last year's entry, the game will ship with a selection of 40 songs that you can groove along to using game controllers or (PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions only) using the Just Dance App on iOS and Android devices. Local co-op will be supported in a number of songs, with the number of dancers ranging between two and four for the Xbox 360, Wii, Wii U, and Switch versions, and up to six for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions thanks to that previously mentioned app. The Kids Mode will be making its return as well so parents you can enjoy busting out some dance moves with your kiddos.

We weren't sure if the title would have any co-op when it was first announced during E3 2017. Fortunately, it appears Ubisoft has clarified the matter in the FAQ page on the official website. The title features two player drop-in/drop-out couch co-op throughout the game. Both players can pilot and play the same starship (player one scans it into the game, and the second player can choose to control it), or the second player can hook up their own Starlink dock to a controller and scan in their own ship. It's worth noting that you don't have to buy any physical ships (outside of the one that comes with the requisite Starter Pack) as Ubisoft will be offering a variety of ships to purchase digitally.

As expected, there are hordes of zombies to slay with your friends - but perhaps what wasn't expected - is the more tactical approach to killing them versus something like Left 4 Dead, where things are a bit more arcade like. Watch the trailer for yourself and let us know what you think.

The game is set 19 years after the events of Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus and focuses on B.J. Blazkowicz's twin daughters who are fighting their way through Paris in the 1980s in order to rescue their dad. This was setup as a kind of stand-alone title, similar to Wolfenstein: The Old Blood, and not a DLC for New Colossus or the third entry in the recent Wolfenstein series. Outside of a little bit of background and the announcement of the title, not a lot of details were provided. For now, we're marking the game as two player online campaign co-op until we hear more from MachineGames.
