While a proper Steam Summer Sale has yet to be announced, gamers can get their Warhammer 40k fix from the latest Steam deal. "Warhammer Weekend" features several 40k games, expansions, and DLCs for 75% off. The entire Dawn of War franchise is on sale, as well as Space Marine. If you're into giant dudes in badass armor spouting nonsensical holy rhetoric while murdering space orks, this is the series for you.
Were you like me and highly intrigued with Relic and THQ's Warhammer 40K: Space Marine until you found out the co-op mode was more of a Horde mode instead of campaign co-op? But a nice low price can make a difference, and that's where GameFly comes in. The rental service/used game seller has both the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 versions of Space Marine on sale for $9.99 with free shipping until 5 PM Pacific Time today. GameFly includes original materials like online passes in the games they sell, so don't worry about being locked out of multiplayer. What better chance to step into a space marine's bulky armor?
Amazon continues its streak of solid deals on downloadable PC games. This time in their "Farewell to February" sale they have a handful of co-op titles for some low prices included the recently released Darkness II and last years hilariously awesome open world game, Saints Row the Third. Both of those games are only $25.
Warhammer 40k: Space Marine gives players a chance to explore their Chaotic side today. The "Chaos Unleashed" pack has hit the downloadable market. This will allow you to take the role of Chaos Space Marines in the game's four player co-op mode, Exterminatus. In this mode you'll battle from arena to arena against Orks and the Forces of Man. The pack also includes three new maps, which brings the game's total MP maps up to seven. The "Chaos Unleashed" pack is going for 800 MSP on Xbox LIVE and $9.99 on Steam and the PSN.
Amazon is the place to go for the most co-op game deals this Black Friday. Everything from Battlefield 3 to the Kinect is on sale for some pretty ridiculous prices. Sadly it looks like the awesome PS3 bundle sold out rather quickly.
After almost two months of anticipation, Warhammer 40k: Space Marine has finally launched the Exterminatus co-op mode. Was it worth the wait? Find out, in our co-op review!
Space Marine's free co-op mode, Exterminatus, has been live for all of one week (one day, for 360 owners), and THQ has just announced plans for additional co-op content. The new DLC will include an Exterminatus campaign titled "Chaos Unleashed." It will put players in the mighty boots of the Chaos Marines. You'll face Orks and the Imperial Guard as the Space Marines' evil, and therefore cooler, counterparts. You just know that all of the Chaos Marines are wearing goatees under their helmets and calling each other "Bro."
It's been almost two months since WH40K: Space Marine has been released into the wild. The much anticipated (at least by 40k fans) "Exterminatus" co-op mode released on the PlayStation 3 and PC last week, and is now live on the Xbox 360. The co-op mode will take a meager 337 MB of hard drive space, so get to downloading! I also noticed that there are slots for four more DLC packages, which is very interesting, given that some honchos at THQ seem less than impressed with the title's performance.
Ok, so we kind of lied yesterday. When we said that Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine's DLC would be up shortly on the Xbox 360, we actually meant - well - we didn't know exactly what shortly mean. According to an official post on the Space Marine forums, Relic found a bug in the title update/DLC that caused connection issues in co-op on the 360 version causing them to pull it at the last minute.
Today is a good day! Space Marine's Exterminatus Mode launches on the PS3, PC, and Xbox 360*. That's the promised four player co-op mode. The best thing? It's absolutely free. Players simply need to fire up a copy of Space Marine, and then they "will be prompted to download a small u...
Space Marine's free co-op DLC is out on October 25th, that's next week for those of you without calendars. To date, details have been pretty scarce on just exactly what the four co-op mode would entail - but now a new three minute video showcasing gameplay has let out all the details.
I guess five weeks is enough time to decide if a video game deserves a sequel. Space Marine came out 38 days ago, and plans for a sequel already appear to be dead in the water. In a recent interview with Joysitq, THQ's Executive Vice President of Core Games, Danny Bilson, flatly said: "I'm not sure there's room for Space Marine."
Battle Brothers! Warhammer 40k: Space Marine is finally getting the promised cooperative mode, "Exterminatus." For the Emperor, and all that stuff! This is great news, because I've been holding off on the Space Marine review for over a month now. I can't do a proper Co-Op Review if the game doesn't have co-op, can I?
Happy Friday everyone! Today we're giving away one copy of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine on the PlayStation 3 to a lucky reader. Sure it may not be a chainsword, and sure, the game doesn't even have co-op yet, but for the love of the Emperor it's a free friggin game.
Both Dead Island and Space Marine are out today on all platforms, but PC gamers can snag the digital version of either title for $10 off thanks to Amazon's Digital Download service.
