An interesting way to get players back in the game

Fat Shark Added a Free, New Challenge Map to Vermintide

Hard to believe it's been the "End Times" for nearly two years now. I mean, one would presume that the times would, you know, come to an end and not just wait for so long, but that Vermintide train just keeps rolling. Fat Shark's been maintaining interest in the game with some DLC here and there, but they tried something new with the latest release.

A mouthful of a headline

Warhammer: End of Times - Vermintide Console Players Receive New DLC February 28th

Warhammer: End of Times - Vermintide console players will receive new DLC on February 28th, specifically the Karak Azgaraz content which came to the PC version on December 15th. Console players have lagged a bit behind the PC version with the release of the game almost occurring a full year later, but are quickly catching up on the premium content.

Next Piece of Paid DLC for Vermintide Adds New Map

The last piece of paid DLC for Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide added three new campaign maps set within Castle Drachenfels, and the next one will do the same. Shifting once again from the town of Ubersreik to the snow-covered peaks of the Grey Mountains,  "Karak Azgaraz" puts you and your stalwart companions in the hallowed halls of this Dwarven fortress where you must make your way to the top and light the beacon.

A bright wizard is never late, nor is she early, she is ported precisely when she means to.

Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide Finally Hits Consoles Later This Year

Well, stuff me with flies and call me Nurgle.  They finally did it.  Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide has a release date for its console ports.  Now, I'm no game developer, and as such, have absolutely no clue how difficult it is to herd all those virtual Skaven to their new homes.  Far be it from me to call anyone out on the length between PC and console releases, but I've wanted so badly for my PlayStation 4 and Xbox One brethren to stab, crush, and poison their way through the apocalyptic Old World that my desire began to verge on actual, physical pain.

You WANT to go into the creepy abandoned castle?!

Drachenfels DLC Lands For Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide

When last we left the stalwart heroes of Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide, everything was awful. It's not like the Warhammer universe is exactly brimming with hope, but current events blew the hinges off of the "How Terrible Is This?" Meter. The ravenous Skaven have taken the city of Ubersreik as you and your three co-op buddies flee the apocalyptic invasion. Not that it really matters all that much because the world is ending. That's like finding out your car was the victim of a piano tumbling out of a 18th story high rise suite, only to look up in time to see the sun explode.
