Prepare to c'mon and slam, if you wanna jam

Xbox is Getting a Free 'Space Jam: The New Legacy' Beat 'Em Up for Some Reason

Way back in 1996, Space Jam was an improbable movie that actually happened. 25 years later, almost as improbably, the sequel Space Jam: A New Legacy is coming to theaters and HBO Max on July 16. And just as unlikely from a probability standpoint, Microsoft has announced Space Jam: A New Legacy - The Game, a beat 'em up with 3-player local co-op, for Xbox and Windows 10. Talk about slammin'!

Get a Map To Help A Charity

Minecraft Package ‘The Traveling Trader’ Remains Free

The studio behind Minecraft, Mojang, made a $10,000 donation in March to the Charity: Water, an organization that helps spread the ability to access clean water to people who have difficulty getting it. In April, Mojang promised to give more so long as “The Traveling Trader” map and skin pack was downloaded 10,000 times across the PC, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, iOS and Android communities. Unsurprisingly this goal was ripped to shreds, as the map was downloaded over 10,000 times in 24 hours and has since passed 100,000 downloads. Thanks to this success, Mojang has donated another $90,000 to Charity: Water.

Or your least favorite, if that's what you're into.

You Can Now Play As Your Favorite FFXV Characters In Minecraft

Based on the amount of coverage dedicated to it, you'd think that Minecraft has faded into the ether.  Honestly, though, it's because there just isn't much to say about it anymore.  It continues on its monolithic path and, based on sales figures, practically everyone in the world has had a chance to play it and determine whether or not it's for them.

Online co-op is a big plus for a digital CCG game

Former Lionhead Devs Bring Forth Fable Fortune This July

While Lionhead Studios and Fable Legends were shuttered last year, from the ashes a new developer has arisen promising a brand new Fable themed game. Flaming Fowl Studios, which is comprised of devs from the ill-fated Molyneux studio, have been working on a digital collectible card game (CCG), titled Fable Fortune, that will see an Early Access release very soon.

Festive Pack for Minecraft: Windows 10, Fallout for Console Editions

The Windows 10 Edition of Minecraft got a big update earlier this week that brings the version number up to 1.0; though it's still in beta, apparently. Anyways, along with that update, there's some "Festive Mash-Up" DLC available to purchase so you can deck the halls and all that jazz. The console versions aren't being left out of the DLC fun as they just got the "Fallout Mash-Up" DLC.

Four to start with more on the way

Xbox Play Anywhere Titles Now Available for Pre-Order via Windows Store

During this year's E3, Microsoft revealed the "Xbox Play Anywhere" program. This program allows players to buy a digital copy of select Xbox One titles and also get it through the Windows 10 store to play on PC (or vice versa), and it also maintains your progress on both platforms so you can pick up and "play anywhere." A few of these Play Anywhere titles are now available for pre-order on the Windows 10 store, including Gears of War 4 and Halo Wars 2.
