Samurai Warriors 4 Due on Sony Platforms this Fall

Hack, slash, and repeat.

Looks like Hyrule Warriors won't be the only Dynasty Warrior-esque game to grace us this year. Celebrating the series 10 year anniversary, Samurai Warriors 4 is due out in the States and Europe sometime this fall on Playstation 3, PS4, and the Vita. Warriors fans in Japan have been enjoying this most recent installment since March, where it received a 34/40 from Famitsu.

Chances are, you know if you're a fan of this game already. They haven't exactly shaken the foundations of this franchise since it was released, which was around the time of the moon landing. But, just in case this is somehow your first time hearing about it, here are two gameplay clips for you to check out.

Yes, that is a man with a pseudo-afro and a canon on his back. Don't stare.

Next.

The enemies here seem to realize they don't have a chance. Seeing hair that fabulous, they might as well stand still and admire his one-handed spear juggling techniques.

All of the previous characters return in SW4 with a few new additions to the roster. You and a friend can team up to slaughter hundreds of the peon enemies in multiple battles across feudal Japan, potentially learning a lesson about teamwork or something. I don't really know.

It's a Dynasty Warriors set in Japan. If you like these kinds of games, good on you! Enjoy this one. The Warriors franchise may not be for me, but there must be enough people out there who get a kick out of the over-the-top power fantasy for Koei to keep making them.
