Cross-platform Saves Available for Diablo 3: Ultimate Evil Editions

Switch existing characters over to another console family easily!

Since Diablo 3: Ultimate Evil Edition is coming to PS4, PS3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360 this August 19th, we thought we'd spread the word on a special feature included for those of you who've played the original versions on the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions.

As most of us put lots of time and effort into building our characters in these games, Blizzard will be adding a cross-save feature into the Ultimate Evil Edition. Using Battle.net as the key component, linking online accounts to Gamertags or PSN ID's, players will be able to bring their developed characters over to the next generation of consoles without having to start over fresh.

What's cool about this offering in particular is that players can transfer their characters over to different console families if they wish. This means that a Xbox 360 owner can either transfer over to an Xbox One or a PS4 if they wish, and vice versa. There is one catch to this though: once the character is transferred to that console family, it can never be switched back to its original platform again. Still, it's a small price to pay to play on the more advanced consoles.

Diablo 3: Ultimate Evil Edition will contain both the original Diablo 3 game and the Reaper of Souls expansion released not that long ago. Up to 4-players locally or online can play co-op together too!
