Free Content Arrives Today for Remnant: From the Ashes

*clears weekend calendar*

The first and second free content updates for Gunfire Games' Remnant: From the Ashes arrive today to give you more reasons (wait, you needed more?) to check out this excellent third-person action RPG. In addition to a new Earth dungeon that will randomly be shuffled into the mix each time you start/re-roll a campaign, you can check out all there is to offer in the different worlds of Remnant without having to start a new campaign thanks to the new Adventure Mode.

There's a lot to discover within Remnant, which is one of the main appeals for me, but if, like me, you also don't want to miss out on anything, then the Adventure Mode is made for you (and me). The idea is that you can create a new dynamically generated instance of just one world (Earth, Rhom, or Yaesha, to start), and play through all of that up to, and including, the World Boss without having to start a new campaign. Your existing campaign progress isn't affected by this Adventure, but you do get to keep all the things (including scrap, materials, weapons, gear, mods, traits, and experience) you acquired from that Adventure. This mode can be accessed from the "World Stone" in Ward 13 by going to "World Settings" and then choosing "Adventure Mode."

The other new bit of content is a new dungeon, called "Leto's Lab," that can be found on Earth. Like the other dungeons you may (or may not) encounter in your playtime, Leto's Lab will dynamically be spawned into your campaign (or Adventure) when it is created, so you may have to try a few times before you get it. Gunfire describes this as "unique among the other dungeons in Remnant as it reveals more backstory about the world and mixes in light puzzles with intense combat - including a new boss fight."

Remnant: From the Ashes is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One for $40. Three player drop-in/drop-out online co-op is supported throughout the game.
