theHunter: Call of the Wild Co-Op Stream Recap

Boop a Moose

For our first stream of 2021, we thought we'd take a little more chill approach. Reconnecting with nature and the world as we done our camo pants, spray ourselves with animal musk, and go hunting in theHunter: Call of the Wild. Full disclosure - none of us are hunters.

All of that said theHunter: Call of the Wild is a really interesting game. As I say on the stream, I'm not sure I could ever go hunting in real life, but I definitely appreciate how this game portrays the sport and the skills necessary in our to be successful. On top of all of that it's just downright gorgeous with incredible visuals and a really slick audio presentation. As mentioned during the stream, it feels almost like a Far Cry game.

In terms of co-op, it's more the emergent type than anything else. While players share the same map, they are working on their own instance of it for unlocking hunting blinds and other overviews. Actual trophies are only attributes to the hunter that claims it. That said there's a clear advantage to working with other players to spot, track, and eventually bring down your target.

Check out our chill recap below - but look out for the moose!
